Anyone actually surprised ? all of my team builds have not included waters since December when after a few weeks of flirting with the idea he could make 7-10 games healthy and after missing so much footy i slapped some sense into my self...was always wishful thinking and umm Luey..see how he goes...

Dixon is another guy who is never going to string 2 healthy 20+ game seasons together. hope for 1 Dixy  ;)

Whitecross, Jones and Lever - Please play rd1 and hold your spots!

Vinny

Hopefully at least three of:

Whitecross, Jones, Lever, Goddard, DMcKenzie & Rainbow.

Looking at Jamie McMillan from North now, injury affected 2014 but should hold his spot given he played finals footy.

Blues Blues Blues

Does Waters setback have any impact on Yeo and his planned position? A lot of talk about Yeo moving to the mids, especially by the bloke who posted that Yeo r00ted his mates girlfriend. Does no Waters mean Yeo will spend more time down back possibly impacting scoring potential?

What about Lemmens from GC? Is only 250k, played 18 games last year so JS is solid, and I remember reading something about how GC think this kid is going to get better and better.

Showed some dash off HB last year

Jaksch has to be considered too. Read today he is hoping to line up rd1

They seem to be the only 2 options I would consider, that are cheaper than Beau, therefor not having to redo my side

Possibly Rohan the spud too if he takes Eski's spot and actually does well

Clancee Pearce and Smedts are considerations too.

As for Rohan, I will monitor his progress but he's currently on my never again list. False dawns every year.

Jetta played ceski's role in an intra club match and was BOG. So he may fill that spot

I am not surprised at all and I have always had a couple of back up plans in place for as I get closer to the season. One was having a couple of extra mid price options, so Birch and Waters become Seedsman and Henderson or I can downgrade him if there look to be a few rookie priced options

Rainbow won't play, well at least not early and while we have a healthy 22

Lemmens is probably on the fringe with Malceski there and I think they will use him as more a lock down player like they did this past season.

Jaksch is too pricey for someone that will average a 70 at best with an injury cloud over him

Rohan the spud might look like an option

Smedts has all the talent you need to make it but just seems to go missing and gets dropped. Until he finally starts stringing some consistent footy together I would not bother considering him

True, he'll need to put in a cracking preseason.

For the Freo supporters, thoughts on Clancee Pearce? Averaged 91 in 2012 but has dropped off a bit. How's his job security and scoring potential?

I just turned him into Pearce and will look to go rookies at D5 and D6 if there are some available.

Same here. I think he's probably the best option.
Be careful with CPearce. Although I think he should be, he isn't a lock in our best 21

Vinny

With Hugh Goddard, this was from Alan Richardson's Q&A this morning, cut out the name not because it's me but I think it's someone on the forum. :P

Bit annoying to hear.

Other things from it.

- Acres to play plenty early.
- Billings to add 25% more midfield time.

RaisyDaisy

Do we dare start Sam Gilbert in place of Waters? Only about 30k more

My ass cheeks just clenched even typing his name, but it's getting ugly down back!
