Sigh....it happens every year. A key pick is unavailable and it throws everything out of whack :S I really needed Beau to be fit. Now I need to reshuffle and find a suitable replacement...as do 90% of people here, I imagine.

Everyone's favourite shoulders don't look like they will be ready for Rnd 1.

I've been seeing a lot of teams (mine included) with Waters at D6, most have at D5.

With the lack of rookie defenders currently putting their hands up, it is now, more than ever, a wait and see on who plays well in NAB challenge before we are able to nail down a team structure.

Is there anyone who is a straight swap for him? Or do we downgrade someone else and upgrade him to a Rampe type player?

First of all let me say that I am extremely disappointed for Waters himself. But from a supercoach perspective this is excellent for the comp. The less blokes in 90% of teams the better. Should see varying strategies to overcome this. An injury to Whitecross will add some more unique mid-pricers into the equation. All of a sudden guys like Pearce, Henderson, Ibbo etc. become more prominent options.

Atm, I've swapped him to Rampe. But surely a rookie or two will pop up in NAB and then play Rnd 1? SURELY!

Agree with the first sentence. But on the matter of POD, I'm devestated that 90% of my opponents may not have the option of picking this scarecrow for round 1.

A real shame for Beau.
The only positive to this is that it happened now and not 2 weeks into the real season when our teams are set.
Plenty of time for a reshuffle. Supercoach Gods already testing us with our slim backlines.

There aren't a hell of a lot of options at that price. If I can free up another 20k I might turn him into Ricky Henderson but Pearce seems like a decent placeholder for the moment.

My defence right now is Hibberd, Birchall, Hurn, Newnes, Ibbotson, Whitecross.
