Jaeger O'meara averaged 77% (92.4 min's per game) of game time at the suns in 2014 whilst averaging 97.7. That's an average of 1.06 points per minute. His TOG should increase again this year and should be 85% at minimum which is a little less than the gun mids Ablett, Prestia, Bennell, Swallow as well as the general improvement of his game and the potential of ablett resting more up fwd. According to these stats would see him average 108pts in 2015 as a minimum, with that increased game time.

My Question is. Can he actually achieve this and what are your projections?

RaisyDaisy

There are only 8 mid spots up for grabs, and its going to be a few years more until he is good enough for one of them

Tend to agree with RD here, don't think he'd be a viable option, but ANYTHING is possible.

What I would like to know is, where'd you get TOG stats from? Cheers man.

Pity he can't even run at the moment due to surgery on both knees. No need to discuss him any further for 2015.

Go into advanced stats on AFL website, select them from there.
as for the minutes average game length is around 120 min, simple divsion blah blah blah.

Wines average 1.09pts per minute last year with 3% less TOG and 3pts more per game he could be an even better pick. I think that if you're looking for a M5 theyre the guys you should look at. POD's and keepers...?

where's this knee business coming from...?
PM link me!

Jukes

I can definitely see him breaking 110 this season, but I'll put him at a conservative 107 average.

Footywire

Google "x-player footywire", click on their profile, and in the middle of the page (without scrolling) it should say "View Advanced Stats", scroll down and it should have TOG in minutes and %.
For example, http://www.footywire.com/afl/footy/pp-gold-coast-suns--jaeger-o-meara?advv=Y

Even without a preseason? He'll be so underdone since he isn't allowed to start running until late January. Might not even be ready for round 1.

fasttrack13

He's looking juicy for 2016 if that's the case!
i didnt know he was going that bad with his knees

Ricochet

Yeh knees are no good mate, he'll push for RD1 but he certainly won't be 100% right

cortez

not for me, at his price you would be wanting prem scoring to pick him and i dont think he will be averaging 115+

Mat0369

The last thing you want to hear with a 20 year old

QuoteO'Meara's knee problems can never be fully cured, but he says the surgery went well and once he's completed rehab he'll be a in much better physical shape than he was in 2014.
