first attempt for 2015
TEAM NAME: Bombers Rule
DEF: L. Hodge, M. Hibberd, M. Jaensch, S. Colquhoun, J. Lever, T. Lamb (M. Fuller, J. Kolodjashnij)
MID: G. Ablett jnr, S. Pendlebury, N. Fyfe, A. Treloar, T. Mitchell, C. Salem, L. Duggan, S. Blease (D. Gore, J. Hunt)
RUC: W. Minson, M. Kreuzer (T. Downie, M. Harvey)
FWD: B. Goddard, L. Franklin, D. Martin, J. Ziebell, T. Bellchambers, C. Sylvia (M. Clark, N. Kommer)
CASH LEFT: $284,000

Probably need to strenghten mid keepers.    Will upgrade to Ward.  Rookies depend on preseason and starters

Your defensive structure is good. In saying that I don't really like Jaench this year and think there are better options. Same with Hodge. Look at Shaw, Smith, Simpson (Dal San To and Ellis if dpp) also look at Biggs as a cheaper option.
I actually like the midfield! Trealor could be a good pick! Would watch Mitchell closely to see if he gets games. I'm not so sure on your rookie priced players though but that doesn't really matter at the moment.
Can't fault the rucks.
One of the strogest forward lines if seen. Maybe downgrade Sylvia to Hogan as I see them scoring the same and that should give you some more cash!
With the extra money I would either turn Mitchell into a Fyfe or colq into a premium.
Very good team though.
Could you rate my team please.

Thanks Moneyshot.    At the moment just dont see the value in simpson, shaw et al.  Possibly Smith,  Will wait and see who gets DPP.
Mitchell is a POD but needs to get games,  if he gets game he should get to 500k.   Good idea on sylvia.

Looks like a good team! I question whether Sylvia will get any games, despite being a popular Fanplanner pick thus far. There are plenty of upgrade or downgrade options in a similar price range, such as Jesse Hogan, Michael Close and Daniel Menzel. I would highly recommend, however, swapping him for Ben Reid who is a proven player returning from injury and is only 200K. He will slot straight back into the team and have an impact.

2nd attempt,

Stuck with Jaensch against Shaw as dont see much difference in output.   Anybody know what B Goodes is up to he was stellar pick in 2013.
Upgraded T Mitch to T Greene.
Put Deledio / Swan in over Dusty and Zeibel

Good mix of byes and prem/rookies.

I actually like this team a lot as it is unique compared to others but there are many things you need to fix up.
Your 3 premiums defenders aren't to bad and could be good pods. Buckley is a risky pick but think he could do amazing this year although I am bit bias  ???. You need to leave some money for your rookies mate although there is a lot of value in the cheaper guys this year you haven't picked any that will get games. I don't really know what happened to goods I think they put him on the rookie list and I don't see him getting much games along with the other rookies you chose. Biggs, Colq, Goddard and Krakour will be better picks but will cost you an extra 200k all up. But trust me it will be worth it.
Love your midfield but im not sure on both of the GWS boys and would only pick one and then try and get maybe Cotchin who may be a bit cheaper and will be a gun this year  ???. Salem will be a good pod and I think he is a dpp which is a good forward link. again not sure on any of the other rookies but would look at guys like ( Freeman, Boekhurst, Laverde and Lambert as your other rookies). You shouldn't lose much money in that line.
Not sure on the Minson pick but why not. He will be another good pod and its good to see you have Belly for cover.
Forwards are great.

All I would do is get rid of your least favourite out of Greene and Trealor and get someone else in.
And think you should definatly get Biggs or Colq (I would prefer Biggs) in that 5 defender spot.
love the team though as it is unique.

could you please rate mine.

Good point on Greene and Trealor.  I like Ward as well and had him this year.   Not sure how they points will split amongst these three.   Also had Cotchin all year and stuck with him.   I agree with other party that this year he is capable of going 10ppg higher over the year without contract deal over his head.

Rookies are a pure guess, will firm them up based on NAB and forum feedback.
Interesting havent seen much for Beams and Rocky in the mids.  I think everybody is uncertain how Beams, Rich, West, Rockliff et al. will go together.

latest version - may have to downgrade a couple when rookies become clearer.

Unique defence, think you should swap Buckley for someone else though. Perhaps Seedsman, or maybe Shaw if you get the cash
Good mid premos, not sure on the rookies though. Will wait until R1 I guess
Haven't seen many teams with Minson, didn't score great this year after a great year in 2013. Could work out though and would be a decent POD
Good forwards, no faults there

Well reality has struck and SC prices require some rethinking.
First cut on SC gold.

Defence is strong can't fault.
Midfield is pretty standard although I love the money you spent on the rookies.
Rucks are great.
Forward line is good but think Swan and Hogan are a must this year.

So I think
Martin/Goddard to Swan
Jack to Hogan
Upgrade Van Berlo or Salem To a premium.
Could you rate my team.

crowls

Thanks Moneyshot.    Preety happy with team as first cut.    Not convinced in Swan doing much better than last year.   May possibly wait for Nab and first two rounds to make a call on him.

have the money to upgrade a fwd or a mid to premium.    Will keep the cash handy at the moment.

Money Shot

Fair enough.
Either way Hogan is a lock although it doesn't really matter at this stage!
