OK Had a play around with this structure and like the look of it to sit on now.

TEAM NAME: Ringos Rocky Road
DEF: M. Hibberd, G. Birchall, H. Taylor, E. Yeo, B. Waters, B. Whitecross (N. Brown, X. Richards)
MID: G. Ablett jnr, R. Sloane, J. Kennedy, S. Sidebottom, D. Rich, B. Acres, N. van Berlo, S. Biggs (B. Boekhorst, N. Freeman, K. Lambert)
RUC: T. Goldstein, N. Naitanui (M. Cox)
FWD: B. Deledio, B. Goddard, P. Ryder, S. Blease, T. Membrey, M. Clark (J. Hogan, C. Daniel)
CASH LEFT: $6,200

Bye Structure 10/11/9 which is ok for Round 13 with Goldy and Nat sharing sharing Round 13 bye.

Have gone for players and rookies who I think will play hence the selection Van Berlo, Biggs, Blease and Co.
Really going out on a limb with picking Ryder at F3 as extra cover for set and forget rucks. Could possibly change to Martin or similar though.

Will review after NAB cup as I have the option of downgrading some low priced to rookies. I want a minimum of 28 players playing in Round 1 Lambert and Cox are my swing DPP Players so happy for them to sit early.

Really not sold on Taylor but you like him so go with your gut! Yeo will be a good cash cow making you 100k roughly!
Sides hopefully will average enough to warrant selection but swan back into the mids I feel will push him back a few points then again beams is gone...!

Rucks are beautiful
Ryder up forward is questionable... For me anyway...!

Pretty solid team though!

I understand that you want a minimum of 28 players playing in r1, but I would go Brayshaw over Van Berlo.

Yes van Berlo is an established player, but he is/was a tagger who is recovering from a knee, more upside in Brayshaw imo, should get heaps of games in

All the Melbourne supporters on here can't see Brayshaw getting a game early, but almost everyone else thinks it's a certainty. Just an observation :P

Surely Vandenberg is ahead of Brayshaw.

"Plucked from obscurity in last year’s rookie draft, Aaron Vandenberg could lay claim to the safest SuperCoach rookie selection in 2015. The mature-age midfielder dominated the NEAFL in the past few years, averaging a ridiculous 136 SuperCoach points from his past two seasons for Eastlake, and entered Gary Ablett territory, averaging 148 SuperCoach points last season. The high-volume accumulator went as far to average a monster 31 disposals last year, and looms as one of the success stories ahead of the 2015 AFL season. Vandenberg comes with big job security, an ability to find the ball. He’s cheaper than his highly-drafted teammates Petracca and Brayshaw, and the SuperCoach world loves a good mature-age rookie at a bargain basement price point."

He also picked up 52 touches in a match. I will say this however, the NEAFL is a significant drop from VFL, no guarantees but then again, Miles also tore up the competition. At the moment he's in my side.

I think Melbourne always showed the way they're handling young blokes now with Toumpas not playing much this year and Salem also getting minimum game time. Not sure Bradshaw and petracca will be played. NVB should average above 80 roaming free IMO

Ringo

All right and apologies to all as I have not been as active in Rating teams in recent days.  Been overseas and than my father passed away.

With injuries etc have now set this team as my pre NAB Cup team. Thoughts welcome.

Have $30k left for rookie adjustment,

Bye Structure not real good at 13/8/9 but may be tweaked when final rookies are picked.

Defenders - 3 prems Shaw a risk as we know but with the addition of Patful will also help his run. Yeo rumoured for mid time so a speculative pick - Wright another speculative pick but training well with Saints Whitecross value if picked and 2 rookies on bench,
Mids: 4 premo and rookies structure.  GAJ picks himslef as we have seen even with doubts his price variations are not a lot so best to start with him, Think Sidebottom will blossom with Beams departure and JJK and Sloane complete prems. Sloane may become another prem due to Round 11 byes but stays at moment.  NVB at price demands selection, Smith and Biggs should go well at Dogs and rookies fo balance.
Rucks: Gone set and forget with Goldy and Nat and Lobb on bench who may get games with GWS.
Fwds: 3 pems in Goddard, Martin and Swan and then spec picks in membrey, Boyd and Clark who will get games and then rookies.

Pretty solid side 8)
Would love to hear abit more of your thoughts on Wright and Smith! (was looking at Wright abit haven't even considered Smith ::))
Would really like Salem and Daniel in that forward line over the likes of Boyd and Makworth and Membrey to someone else.

Is Richards (D8) a chance of playing?

Ringo

Rookies and low priced players dependant on NAB form and being named.  the only certainty with this team is it will change before Round 1.

Money Shot

Who is Nathan Wright though?
what role does he play?

Ringo

Will be keeping an eye on him in NAB cup. Want to see if he plays a rebounding role off half back for Saints. Have plans in place if he does not.

Ringo

Could not resist but played around with a slightly different structure,

Like this structure as it stands -

Def: 4 prems +Geary who may become a keeper and rookies - Have a plan if Whitecross not named. Taylor may go to similar priced in Adcock or Fisher.
Mids: 4 prems + Rich plus rookies - Have put high priced rookies in Brayshaw and Biggs so can downgrade easily and maybe Rich would become 5th premo. NVB may come in but needs to show something in next NAB matches
Rucks: Gone with Berger with Belly as protection at F4. Have O'Brien as the DPP and expect him to get some games as well.
FWDS: 3 prems = Bellchambers. If Bellchambers is averaging 85+ he will stay as F6. F2 will be a choice between Smith, Dahlhaus or Lecras,

Rookies will be finalised prior to R1,

Also have 30k cash left as well

Bye structure 9/10/11 Prems: 4/6/4 so happy with that as well.

I like the majority of the side here Ringo.

DEF: Nice setup that you have but I'm a bit iffy on the Taylor selection. He is required to play a shutdown role on occasion which sees his SC scores suffer as a result. I don't think he will average 90+ this year. Be wary of Geary as he screams fool's gold to me. Whitecross very unlikely to line up round 1.

MID: Gaz is a lock. I like the unique picks in Beams and JPK. I would prefer to target Beams as an upgrade but the guy is an undisputed SC gun. I really like Sidey but any reason why you have chosen him over Pendles? I think Pendles is a lock. I am not a fan of the Rich pick as he wont average enough to be a keeper and I don't expect him to make enough cash to be a decent stepping stone. I would downgrade him to a rookie, but that's just my opinion.

RUC: Goldy and Leuey both look to be good picks but any reason for no Nic Nat? I think he is a lock. His minor back issue seems to be just that, minor. The Eagles will play it safe and not risk him during NAB but I fully expect him to play from round 1 and dominate.

FWD: I'm not a fan of starting with Buddy as he always misses games through injury or suspension so I prefer him as an upgrade target. I think you should try to upgrade D Smith to Lids/Goddard/Dusty if possible. Swan is a lock. Belly provides great ruck coverage and the other 4 picks look the best options at this stage.

I think the general structure of this team is good but requires a bit of tweaking.
