Trades done

Rd 2 Sidebottom to JP Kennedy
Rd 3 Leuenberger to Natanui, Goodes to Oxley
Rd 4 Ablett to Watson, McGrath to Krakouer
Rd 5 Lamb to Tarrant

24 Trades left along with $219k cash for upgrades.

Round 2 Score 2174 Overall Rank 6825
Round 3 Score 2133 Overall Rank 4525
Round 4 Score 1958 Overall Rank 8875

Really disappointing start to the year and the lowest place I have been in SC for 3 years, Injuries and playing incorrect rookies not helping eg played Heeny on Field with Vandenberg on bench last week.

Round 5 Team: (Pending Team Announcements)
D: Shaw, Lumumba, Simpson, Newness, Saad, Oxley (McIntosh, Merrett)
M: Sloane, Fyfe, Selwood, Kennedy, Watson, Vandenberg,Miller, Cripps (Heeny, Newton, Cockatoo)
R: Goldstein, Naitanui (Read)
F: Gray, Swan, Bellchambers, Hogan, Tarrant, Clark (Salem, Krakouer).

Gamble on Bellchambers at R3 not really paying off and he will be upgraded soon. Just unfortunate had to use early injury trades indicated in Red. Better weeks coming.

GM

Not going to keep Belly for ruck dpp cover mate?

Ringo

Depends on trades GM.  If I can get some prem forwards in with the trades I have I am happy for Belly to remain at F6 or on bench for cover.  Just that injury has really stuffed my plans and that was my original plan for Belly.

Fair enough mate , I recon since you have him it's worth keeping him now and build around him.
Saves a donut if a pren ruck has a week off.

Asparagus

Curious to know what, if any, trades you are looking at this week Ringo.
You have cover but Clark and Heeney out are a pain.

Ringo

At this stage just doing Lamb to Tarrant.  With cover and Clark and Heeny only looking like a week will hold.

Round 4 Score 1958 Overall Rank 8875
Round 5 score 2120 Overall Rank 13226

Despite improving score rank dropped to 13226.  Fist time I have been below 10k for 3 years,  Loopholed Oxley and Cripps using Merrett and Heeny.

Round 5 Team:
D: Shaw, Lumumba, Simpson, Newness, Saad, Oxley (McIntosh, Merrett)
M: Sloane, Fyfe, Selwood, Kennedy, Watson, Vandenberg,Miller, Cripps (Heeny, Newton, Cockatoo)
R: Goldstein, Naitanui (Read)
F: Gray, Swan, Bellchambers, Hogan, Tarrant, Clark (Salem, Krakouer).

Will be assessing trades later this week.
Heeny will be a watch and see as I think he jas a bit more cash to make.
Newton with a B/E 35, Salem with a B/E 42 and Cockatoo not named last week and a B/e of 21 are the ones looking to cull. Even McIntosh getting close to ceiling with a B/e 34
Bellchambers have rethought and will keep for the moment as he is still making some cash and only a B/e 57 this week.

Will wait till later in week to decide - Clarke, Merrett and Heeny's injuries and naming of teams but considering these 2 trades
Will be a week late Newton to Webb who still has a B/e of -36 via Krack to open DPP and cash gain
Then Salem to one of Martin, Betts, Dahlhaus, Franklin or Smith. Had considered JJ Kennedy but he may not be a keeper when Darling returns.

Mat0369

Yeah I think it is time to get in a premo forward. Newton using Krak to Webb and bringing in Salem could work. Webb has already gained a large chunk of change which does seem counter productive. You could look at  a double downgrade next week with Sauce or McIntosh to McKenzie and Cockatoo to Glenn unless you jump on Glenn early this week

Ringo

Other alternative as you say is forgo Webb and just do Newton to Glenn and then the forward upgrade. Means forgoing DPP Link for a week or two to upgrade Cockatoo.

Round 6 Update:

Another shocking round
Score 2111
Weekly Rank 41494
Overall Ranking 14309

Rd 6 Trades
Cockatoo to Betts - (Did this when Cockatoo was named as sub and kept Salem who was to be upgrades.  So that worked ok  :D)
Daniel Merrett to McKenzie (Finally got the chance to get rid of Dan who is still a week or 2 away)

Round 6 Team:
D: H. Shaw, Lumumba, McIntosh, , Newness, Saad, Oxley (Simpson, McKenzie)
M: Sloane, Fyfe, Selwood, Kennedy, Watson, Vandenberg,Miller, Cripps (Heeny, Newton, Krakouer)
R: Goldstein, Naitanui (Read)
F: Gray, Swan, Bellchambers, Betts , Tarrant, Clark (Salem, Hogan).

Issues to deal with this week
Sloane 4-6 weeks injury
Heeney Injury
Saad not playing this week.

Do I do Heeny to Glenn/Stretch and Sloane to Pendles or just do Heeny and sit Sloane on bench for 4 weeks. He has the Round 11 bye so should be back for Rd 12.

Edit: How does this sound after playing around a bit and looks good with a projected score of 2218
Heeney to Glenn
Gray to Mids via Krack
Hogan to Bontempelli

Means I have Sloan on mids bench and can sideways trade if further injuries prevail.
Next week thinking Newton to Lever or similar rook if he is named via Saad

Also means that when I move Gray back will have 4 premo forwards as well.

Not really interested in upgrading defence at this stage.  They will be the last line to sort out and besides Ox and Saad scoring much better than some.

hawkboy80

Heeney to Glenn
Gray to Mids via Krack
Hogan to Bontempelli
sounds like a good plan and u keep sloane

Ringo

With the outs and Glenn not named trades will be pending final teams being named Heeny to Stretch and Hogan to Bonts. Gray to go to mids.

May do Watson as VC given his scoring against North.

Round 7 Update

Like most suffered the carnage

Score 1967 (one of my lowest non bye scores ever)
Weekly Rank 89665
Overall Ranking 22684

Round 7 Trades:
Heeney to Stretch  :(
Hogan to Bontempelli

Round 7 Team:
D: H. Shaw, Lumumba, McIntosh, , Newness, Saad, Oxley (Simpson, McKenzie)
M: Gray, Fyfe, Selwood, Kennedy, Watson, Vandenberg, Miller, Cripps (Stretch, Newton, Sloane)
R: Goldstein, Naitanui (Read)
F: Bontempelli, Swan, Bellchambers, Betts , Tarrant, Salem (Krakouer, Clark).

Really at a loss what to do this week
Salem possibly in doubt
Vandenberg, Newton, McIntosh  and Clark nearing ceiling
Sloan injured
Lumumba and Belly shocking and bleeding cash.

Do I need to start fixing my defence or bring in another prem midfielder. With only $16.400 have to decide whether to do 2 downgrades for cash or a downgrade and upgrade.

Do I need to trade Sloane probably last option given other issues.

Think I will wait and see Teams named to see who gets downgraded.
Thinking Salem to Steele to allow switching with Krakouer especially if I keep Sloane. Not concerned  with not playing at this stage.
Then Maybe a Vandenberg or Newton upgrade to Rocky or a McIntosh downgrade to a rookie defender named.
