Change Up:

DEF: H.Shaw, M.Hibberd, J.Newnes, E.Yeo, J.Macmillan, B.Whitecross (D.Viojo-Rainbow, D.McKenzie)
MID: G.Ablett, T.Rockliff, S.Pendlebury, O.Wines, B.Acres, S.Biggs, I.Heeney, B.Boekhorst (A.Vandenberg, N.Freeman, N.Krakeour)
RUC: T.Goldstein, N.Naitanui (T.Nankervis)
FWD: B.Goddard, D.Martin, D.Swan, D.Thomas, J.Martin, J.Hogan (J.Steele, K.Lambert)
Salary: $10,900

This preseason shenanigans has thrown me well off! I see enough 100% keepers to counter the risks in Daisy, Jmart, Yeo, wines, Macmillan...

I see ten 100% keepers which is not enough.

Shaw, Hibberd, Ablett, Rocky, Pendles, Goldy, Nic Nat, Goddard, Dusty and Swan.

Newnes and Wines might turn out to be keepers. I would keep them in the side.

I don't think Yeo, Macmillan, Daisy or J Martin will be keepers. I would try to turn two of these guys into premiums and downgrade the other two to cheap rookies.

Then you would have 12 definite keepers as well as Newnes and Wines. I think that team would look great.

Suggestions?

Use your imagination  ;)

I'm pretty contempt..

Maybe
Macmillan > Jones (90k)
Martin > Karnezis (170k)
Total 270k left

Thomas > Dahlhaus
Yeo > B.Smith

Unlikely either will play compared to my current team...!

ben_020285

I like those changes. Makes your side look a lot stronger.

You may end up needing to have one extra Premo in defence and one less in the forwards due to a lack of rookies down back but it's wait and see for the moment.

Not sure on JMart, Wines, and Libba. Defence is very risky.

Henderson + Macmillan + Libba + Wines + JMart vs Hibberd + Simpson + Ward + NVB + Belly

I think they're fairly close in price, does the RHS look better?

J Martin down to Clark should net you nearly 150k......
Personally if Clark stays fit I can't see any significant difference in score between the two. I think they'll both avg somewhere around 75-85 for the year..

Ringo

Seedsman at D3 too risky GL has given sound suggestions for you

Think J martin is at his ceiling and not worth the price,

Probably right and I earn myself one more keeper...

JMartin won't be a keeper, so prefer Belly to him as he provides the ruck coverage
Libba and Wines could both go around 110, but are both fairly risky as well. Don't think Wines will get there though, and who knows how Libba will cope with more attention after Griffen leaving. Ward is a safer bet than both of them. And then Hibberd and Simpson should both be top 5 defenders IMO.

fasttrack13

Yeah I'd really like to bring Hibberd in. Preferd way would be Whitecross to rookie tbh

Conclusion of nab 1 Team with Notes

DEF: H.Shaw, M.Hibberd, J.Newnes, J.Geary, J.MacMillan, B.Whitecross (J.Hamling, H.Goddard)
MID: G.Ablett, S.Pendlebury, J.Selwood, D.Beams, M.Wallis, S.Biggs, P.Cripps, J.Anderson (A.Vandenberg, N.Freeman, C.Smith)
RUC: T.Goldstein, N.Naitanui (T.Nankervis)
FWD: B.Goddard, D.Martin, D.Swan, J.Martin, C.Salem, J.Hogan (K.Lambert, N.Krakeour)
Salary: $16,600

Geary: I think it'd be wise to jump on the bandwagon, anywhere between 80-90 is probable for him even with some off games through a few rounds. He will go big early with a reasonable draw so could be a quick Uograde

Macmillan: been on him all season looks primed to move to the midfield with a 93 today proved how affective he is. 75+ is a win from him and he looks as if he will do that company with that increased JS.

D.Beams: fitted in so well, will only get better as nab cup progresses. IMO he can handle a tag, he can go fwd and kick 20-30 goals.

Wallis: was on my radar wanted to see him not tag libba gone almost makes that certain has keeper potential but I'm old holding out for a cash increase to a fallen premo. 15/21 contested possessions today #scgold

Cripps: showed enough in his TOG% he was given to suggest he will get a significant go this year and can produce well too, could be a vest candidate though but placeholder for now

Wallis is interesting now with no Libba. I probably wouldn't go near him as they might still use him as a tagger. It is a similar reason why I am taking Pickens scores with a grain of salt even though he looked brilliant and as a defender he could be gold.

I read Beams racked up the pill and his contested numbers are good.

Cripps won't see early games for us. I said this in another thread but he is probably fighting for a spot with Graham and it isn't a guaranteed one anyway as Bell is ahead of both of them. NVB is probably a better option at a similar price in terms of job security

Jack Martin is an interesting pick and one I probably wouldn't go near. You might actually be better off dropping him down to a rookie and using the cash to upgrade Walis to the best mid you can afford.
