Queries about the 3 top mids call me crazy not to start with them...

We know ablett fwd time could hurt and rocky's new teammate arrivals as well. However pendles hasn't been discussed.

He has Levi Greenwood coming who will become collingwoods in and under mid. Pendles has had to do a lot of that with not many to help so a few CP's gone there. It's easier to tag a more outside mid and with beams gone pendlebury will cop 100% attention for the first few rounds. Is he still untaggable?
Dare i say as a pies man but we are rebuilding and im just a bit sus at the fact pendles could spend a bit more time up forward whilst bucks plays Thomas, Greenwood, Adams, Broomhead, Kennedy and Crisp through the guts. Not to mention fasolo and elliot who could push up the ground as well.

My thoughts are he's always had players around him to soften the blow... This year teams will go straight too him!

ADEZ

This is from an outsiders POV, well Greenwood is essentially going to replace Ball and a fit Swan will play a like game to Beamer...Think the Pies can still push finals at the moment...
Besides the only very slight knock on Pendles is his overhead/contested marking which is why a Swan would be better up front
Can't see any role change but as you said may have less protection

Hi Fasttrack

I like your team a lot

Rucks and Fwds look strong and an interesting mix in the Mids

my concern would be D3 - I think any of Newnes, Docherty or Ibbotson are good D4 selections but I would like to see a stronger D3

and I have read somewhere that Biggs is mid only

Good luck

Thanks DG.
My Thoughts with the defence is that i have 2 keepers. I'd say all 3 mid-pricers could average 85-95. I wont keep all 3 probably upgrade one and hopefully be able to loophole the others later in the season. I just don't know which premiums to get so i figured ill happily lose 10 or so points over the first 6/7 rounds and gain probably 100k+ from it. Especially since i dont have pendles, rocky and ablett.

That's the though for now. Until the real prices come out, won't know what i can afford. Cheers for the input already thinking about it!!

Sabretooth Tigers

 :)
Nice team FST and I particularly like Kreuzer/Leienberger pick. Some will say it's not a good idea having that much money on the bench but both should make at least 200k plus and in short time. We differ on structure but that's merely point of view. Best of luck mate.    ;)

fasttrack13

Agreed STT, im probably 100% on the rucks barring injury.
Be a conundrum later what to do with them if they do make such money!

GM

Nice squad F13.
Rucks are lace out.
I would prefer a pendles or Gaz as s capt. lock.
And to have Brodie back in your defence.
But a great start mate.

fasttrack13

Good point! GM, i think i can get more points from not selecting Gaz/Pendles. only one i'd swap out is cotchin but that'd stuff up my bye's. I like Smith a lot i will probably end up selecting him over hibberd

The problem I have with mid pricers is that you are either selecting them as a keeper or as a stepping stone. Ibbotson won't return to his 95 point average. Have a look at his averages over the years and how inconsistent he was even in his 95 average year. I am also against picking up Weller. It's very very hard to predict break outs and considering his only scored over 90 once with the saints I think he is very unlikely to even get a 90s average. I can't see either of them being keepers and I prefer the idea of using rookies as stepping stones rather than mid pricers. Stepping stones usually end up resulting in more trades.

Ibbotson's problem last year was he had to play tall with McPharlin and johnson going down with injury. If they both get on the park i dont see much problem with ibbo because he will be freed up. Weller looking for 80+ which is very possible, but if you look at my latest team he isnt there.

Great team here fasttrack13.
Hard to fault or give advice on.
My only thing is no Gaz, but that's just my own personal view !
Well done.

fasttrack13

Cheers creeks! if it didnt hurt my team elsewhere id bring in ablett if im honest!

fasttrack13

Well gold has being released and its stumped me. Thrown my ruck strategy. Back to the drawing board i guess!

Your problem with that team is you will likely need to upgrade most of Zieball, Adams, Newnes and Ibbo,,
