Few queries...

Hurley or Walker?
Barlow or Ward?
B.Crouch or Greenwood?
McEvoy or Naitanui?

cheers!
Walker (if he plays half back)
Cant go wrong with those but I loved Ward last year and am sad about not being able to fit him in this year  :-\
Crouch.
Nic Nat with out a doubt.

fasttrack13

I reckon walker will be played at HB, Yarran played there this year because walker played injured a lot of the season. Full preseason I think he is a great option. I like Hurley a lot saying that. But pts wise walker probs.
Ward as the younger more promising play is what I think atm. Griffen in will take the tag off him freeing ward to dominate. Wouldn't be surprised if ward exceeds 120. Barlow though is a star and I know he can produce consistently 110 then going big occasionally.
Greenwood and Crouch are the guys who I reall like. I believe greenwood could hit a ceiling of 114. Would be interested what his midfield TOG% I reckon it'd be very low and increase at the pies. Crouch dominating preseason aswell they're both gems GET ON!
Ruck interest in McEvoy because he's a pod and nicnat will be the most popular ruckman. Really shouldn't go against the grain by not picking him.
Sorta my confusion, I know who's better but my biasedness is coming into it :(

I think it would give great peace of mind unless a rook ruck shines out .

fasttrack13

I think there will be a RUC rookie that will pop up and play a few games At the start that will be able to get me close to a fallen mid-price or premo for cover.

That would solve a few issues mate.

fasttrack13

Certainly would! Save us 180k from belly that a lot of teams could use to sure up the Ibbotson's, waters', rich, wells etc... To premos.

I really like this team mate, but it really worries me that you have NO Ablett and/or Pendlebury and you're classifying Adams as a keeper.. Won't happen mate.

For this team to strengthen I think you need both Ablett and Pendlebury (don't need Rockliff to begin with - Upgrade Rocky to Ablett/Pendles mate, wouldn't have Greenwood either, don't see him being a top 10 mid or increasing in value enough to be worth it.. However if you want a 100-105ppg mid it's totally upto you but that wouldn't be enough for me. If you went with him though, monitor his preseason as well as Newnes who is be iffy on as a premium in the defence.

Best of luck though champ, will be interesting to see what you do.

Pendles&Ablett not selected purely on byes... I'd get one if I found another player similarly priced to greenwood who I think could output 105+. Leads me to my thoughts on greenwood.

78% TOG at NTHM which a lot was spent up forward hence his large amount of goals. That will lift to 85-90% with beams gone and being collingwoods main inside MID that according to Points per game last year would mean he'd average 105. But with that extra midfield time rather than time up fwd I see it closer to the 110 points IMO. He even has less competition for points this year which is even better.

F4 still not sure, T.Adams or J.Thomas probably either are collingwoods 5th mid and over the years they've all averaged over 90 if you read up I showed that. But I'll have to watch his preseason properly to make sure he dominates or close too. Being a first round pick makes it more appetising aswell.
Reports on newnes is that he's killing it on the track and will play midfield next year. That'd warrant 90+ mid.

Most will change but that's my theory for now Wato...

Cheers for your input makes me think about it a heap literally just looked at what I could change damnit hahahah!

So you have the two best sc scorers in the game out because of their byes? First rule mate is to pick them, they're auto picked #1 and #2 ever year, don't ever shy away from that until you have to (injury, form etc)
^^ you'll understand that when Ablett and Pendles will both be scoring 410+ (Ablett 140x2, Pendles 130) points between each other for the first few rounds and you'll be killing yourself that you didn't get them.. Best off to HAVE them and not to worry about not having them mate.

That could be very right mate, but for him to also have that extra increase in TOG% he would also have to have killed preseason and increased his aerobic capacity by 10%  and I'm not sure whether he would've done that over one preseason mate.. You also said large times spent up forward where he kicked a large punt of goals.. Won't get that luxury next year.. Won't always be an inside mid either, will also keep his run with roles until Macaffer is back! You say less competition but I also see much larger scorers he's up with - Pendles, Sidey and Swan mate, who will all push 110+ and close to 120 (Pendles even 130).. 4 scorers in that midfield over 110? I highly doubt that, not even the best midfields have that - Sydney/Fremantle etc

Don't think Adams will average anywhere near 90.. Thomas I c an see averaging 90 but that's very close to borderline as I'd see him maxing at something like 85 and Adams 80 at most.. Was fringe for much of this year.

Newnes sounds good mate, stick with him for sure :))

No worries champ, it's always a good thing though! I'm also a Collingwood supporter mate, hence why I said as much as I did hahaha

fasttrack13

All good points! I think Fyfe will outscore Pendles this year. Maccaffer tags barely gets any ball.
I would like to go Rockliff to Ablett as i do have the cash as I tweaked my team slightly.
Swallow, Ziebell, Cunnington, Wells, Harvey, Bastinac and Dalsanto... Good luck scoring points in that.
Whereas we only got Swan, Pendles and Id say he will outscore sidey this year.

Adams averaged 78 without sub affected games this year playing almost everywhere. Whichever of him and Thomas looks like playing most midfield I'd say I'll pick because no doubt 90+. Adams at the moment for the simple fact bucks loves him and he's a first round pick and is more efficient with his disposal. Also no one else around that price worth considering.

All speculative of course.

So do you think Rocky > Gaz??

_wato

Fyfe could out score him mate, but I do not see it happening at all! Pendles, is just pure class, soooo consistent hahaha

Wells hardly played, as did Swallow or Bastinac. Harvey predominately played up forward, and Ziebell did for long lengths this year.. NDS roamed across half back and the wing for most of the year, so it was really only Cunnington and Greenwood at most stoppages for the Roos.. Hence large amount of points on offer.

Greenwood will not out score Sidebottom, hahaha, Sidey will reach new heights this year.. 115+ I'm predicting, greenwood unfortubtely will be lucky to score 105-110.

Fair enough mate, I just don't see it happening, but it could easily happen! Be prepared for a mighty roller coaster!

Rocky > Gaz everyday day of the week mate!! Ablett's record speaks for himself, no more needs to be said.

fasttrack13

Most of Levi's mid time was after his bye... Check out his scoring. Then swallow came back his mid time dried up towards the end of the year.
Sidey will struggle with Swan back. Generally got flipped a lot of outside ball swan will break lines and take 5/6 touches off him per game.
I just see Adams/Thomas set for a huge year.

Damnit New Years resolution 'don't start Gaz' I didn't even make it to the new year! Blimey!!
