Mr.Witt

Your team is looking really good.
Defence: in my opnion this is the weakest line. what I would do is downgrade Weller to say a H.Goddard and then upgrade Ibotson to your next favourite premium.
Midfield: Really like all the picks. Only concern is Griffen at a new club as I see him having to compete for more points. Love the Cotchin pick. (would try and find somewhere else for Griffen)
Rucks are extremely good.
Forward line looks strong also. I would rate Martin over Franklin though in my opinion (I am hoping Swan and Bennell get dpp) also Jack from Sydney might get it too.

Overall solid team like most picks although I am uncertain on Griffen and the mid priced defenders.

fasttrack13

Uncertain over griffen?
He had libba, cooney, macrae and boyd at the dog plus he wasnt enjoying playing there and pulled around 106 after his first 3-5 games. I think wards output will decline to around 105 leaving treloar and griffin in the elite catagory. Greene may spend some HB time as he did this season also.
Like id probably rather not go griffen if im honest. But im not sure who else around that price cpuld outscore him?
I like weller and ibbotson. Both potential keepers. However im only 50/50 on ibbotson 70/30 on weller. I agree that goig rookie premo could.be a better option. But im not sold on many def premiums improving?

One word Hibberd. He will defiantly improve in my opinion. I would rather Hibberd/Goddard then Weller/ibbotson
I do see where you are coming from with Griffen but I still won't be picking him.

fasttrack13

He fades late in seasons though... like thats my only problem. Id want someone who scores from rd1-23

Official DPP: Not many changes but

Def: B.Ellis, B.Smith, H.Shaw, G.Ibbotson, M.Weller, S.Biggs (C.Smith, L.Dawson)
Mid: S.Pendlebury, N.Fyfe, J.Selwood, T.Cotchin, R.Griffen, I.Heeney, N.Freeman, C.Daniel (B.Boekhorst, K.Lambert)
Ruc: T.Goldstein, M.Leuenberger (M.Kreuzer, M.King)
Fwd: B.Deledio, A.Christenson, D.Swan, J.Ziebell, T.Membrey, M.Clark (J.Hogan, A.Saad)
Salary: $52,300

sorta confused now, not sure about my defence now that i look at it. Even though it has potential.
Fwd is hard to pick because of the depth!

Money Shot

I agree with Mr.Witt and think a rookie and a premium would be better than Ibbotson and weller but you are confident in them so its up to you. Apart from that defence looks fine.
I for one love the Griffen pick and think he will go 110 plus and be a good 7/8th midfielder by the end of the year. Also like the Cotchin pick this is his year  :-X. Great midfield cant fault it.
Love the rucks.
Forward line looks good although im not sold on Christianson and would like to see him turn into a Martin?Goddard. Ziebell is a small risk but he could be a 100 avg so he is worth the risk if under 450k. Not sold on Membrey but he seems to be in a lot of teams.

fasttrack13

Ill have to watch weller and ibbotson. if i have the cash i may upgrade one to lumumba. Thats if i can. Christenson should average 95ish which is an improvement and is a bit of a pod. But then he seems like a player whos good in a good team, so not sure.
Ziebell indeed bigger reward than a risk

Yeah i would watch and see with Weller and Ibbotson as both could be good picks. VERY RISKY picks but good picks.
That's what i mean Christianson to get 95ish would be a good year where as that would be a bad year for Goddard or Martin.

fasttrack13

im looking for value this year rather than pure points. If i look for value the points will be greater.
Ibbottson and Weller are interesting i could see them averaging 80-90 Weller playing majority mid and Ibbotson back to where he was. However they could bomb out in the 70's
who would everyone suggest for christenson

You aren't going to do well in this game without taking risks, so if you are confident in them leave them in.
as i said Goddard (although you don't like him) so Martin would be my next pick super consistent getting 90s almost every week with the occasional 130+

roti

Guessing B.Ellis is a guess and hasn't been confirmed DPP? Much as I would love to lock him into the backline he played as a full time mid this year so it would be a little surprising!

fasttrack13

I saw him lining up a lot on half back and wing. He's a chance of getting it. But yes im prepared to switch him out. 50/50 at the moment

That is a very good team.
I think a lot of people will have very unique defences this year.
Midfield is strong.
Rucks Are strong.
And forward like isn't too bad.
Can't really fault it at this stage.
