Hugh Goddard, Dillon Viojo-Rainbow

Gary Ablett jnr, Dayne Beams, Steele Sidebottom, Jack Redden, Stephen Coniglio, Daniel Rich, Angus Brayshaw, Isaac Heeney
Nathan Freeman, Jack Steele

Todd Goldstein, Matthew Leuenberger
Jonathon Griffin, Craig Moller

Robbie Gray, Lance Franklin, Devon Smith, Tom T. Lynch, Tim Membrey, Paul Ahern
Mitchell Clark, Jesse Hogan

Notes
- Special thanks to Bill Shorten MP for the team name.
- As the team name implies, Rockliff is not selected. Leaving him out was not a mistake.
- As the team name also implies, there are very few Lions players (Only 4  :o)
- Coniglio will go bang, backing him in for a breakout year.
- 5 of my forwards are KPP, but Buddy and Lynch don't really score like your typical KPP.
- Moller is more of a place filler than anything, Biggs is sort of along those lines as well.
- Forwards and Backs may be a bit too mid priced, but no reason Docherty and TT Lynch can't become premiums.
- Waters will almost certainly be injured by round one, so that selection will probably change.
- Left over salary is sort of intentional, think the players values should all rise when SC opens.

Any thoughts or Suggestions on the team?

Mr.Witt

Get rid of Beau Waters. But defence doesn't look to bad. Like the Docherty pick.
Midfield is too risky for my liking and would rather get in people like Pendles, Selwood and Fyfe. I think there are too many brissy midfielders and It is likely that one of them will have a poor game each week.
Rucks are solid.
Don't know about Lynch and Membrey but could be good picks. Solid line.

It isn't too bad a team and with the money you have left over you could easily turn it into a gun line up.

Gday nrich, does richo work?

Started well with shaw and hibberd. I myself like docherty aswell. Use the extra cash to upgrade waters however ill get back to that.
POD midfield, surely a lion supporter? I dont think you can have 3 of any team in the mids unless (swan, pendles, beams.) Id keep beams and drop rich and redden. Rich to Caleb Daniel and Redden to maybe cotchin, heppell or watson? Coniglio could become a dylan shiel at m5 just because he is the better player and id think about getting a top 5 mid in for sidey even though i love him not too much improvement left as hes an outside runner.
Rucks are solid.
Robbie gray maybe to dusty (if swan and bennell arent dpp) if they are, out gray and lynch in swan and bennell. Ahern to a bottom basement... maybe saad or steele. Then back to waters... upgrade him to the best premium in your opinion that you dont have.

On the Waters pick, since 2007, he has played 19+ games every 2 years, and in the years he has played 19+ games he has averaged over 80 in all of them.

I think I may need one of Pendles/Jelwood/Fyfe, but I would be most likely to trade Beams to him, rather than Redden/Rich. And imo, Rich, if left without a tag, can go 90+. Playing off halfback won't attracted the tag like playing through the midfield would.

With Gray, if SC have the same positions as AF, He will change to Swan/Goddard/Deledio.

Tn\hanks for your feedback guys  :)

Personally, I think Redden and Rich are much better picks than Beams this year. Redden was doing extremely well this year before getting injured, and I think us winning more games and having a better midfield should help him. And, he's a tackling machine, much like his partner in crime Sir Tomiffer Rockliff.
And Rich will be very cheap and should average 90-100. He isn't in our starting teams for premium scores, so in response to Mr Witts' comment on one not scoring premium each week, that would likely be Rich every week, who should still be a good stepping stone to a premium.
Beams is more of an unknown so if you had to drop one, it would be him.

Pretty much my thinking. Going to trade Beams to one of Pendles/Selwood/Fyfe.

Mr.Witt

That would make the team better but I'm still not sold on:
Lynch and Sidebottom (although Sidebottom is a great player I see him dropping of slightly and would to him as a upgrade option)
Lynch to Walters and Sidebottom to Fyfe In my opinion.

nrich102

Pretty much just done Beams and Sidey to Fyfe and Jelwood

Hey man,
I like your defence and like the Docherty pick as I see him going well into the 80s this season for his average. Waters I don't like though as I see him being to much of a risk. But you are obviously confident with him for now so good luck.
Your midfield looks a lot better. As a Brissy fan you would know more about Redden and Rich then me so if you are confident in them you might as well pick him. I was looking very closely at Coniglio as well but don't have the balls to pick him although I think he will be a good pick up.
Good rucks I would take Kreuzer over Leuy though. (but I can see you are a Brissy fan  ;))
Gray is to expensive at the moment for me and I see him dropping in price. Franklin will be a good pick. Smith I am not so sure about don't see him improving much with all the new inclusions. To be honest I don't even know who Lynch is so I cant comment. Although I would downgrade one of Membrey and Ahern to a basement player as I see Hogan and Clark outscoring them anyways.

overall a very good team but I would just look at the new forward line inclusions.
Could you rate my team at: http://forum.fanfooty.com.au/index.php/topic,99683.0.html

nrich102

I probably won't have the balls when it comes to round 1 to pick Coniglio haha.

Just out of interest mate, why do you prefer Kreuzer to Leuy? Leunenberger has a better scoring record, and their prices are pretty much the same.

I love both picks!
But just think Kreuzer will have almost 100% of the time in the ruck and Leuy will have to share it a bit more. Also Kreuzer is about 50k cheaper from memory and I think he can score better. I dont think we have seen all Kreuzer has to offer yet.

Fair enough mate. Also when Leuy played Geelong this year, with Martin in the team, he scored 96 SC, which makes me think that Martin wont affect his scoring.

Yeah I guess it's just who you like more at this stage you can't really go wrong!

Ringo

Think you have spent too much on mids at the expense of both defence and forwards.

Would look at downgrading one of Redden, Coniglio or Rich to Nathan Van Berlow or other rook.
Docherty is a little weak for D3.
TT Lynch is also a little week at F4 with all the options out there,
