Everyone seems to be going with that defence, nothing wrong with it!
Midfield solid as a rock!
Rucks not too bad...

What's the work on Ziebell? Is he 100% fit? Because if not he will continue to play 70-75% tog and average 85-95 and be of no use.
Fitness is just general fitness not injury...!

Thanks man, have just upgraded Hurn to Smith in the backline to strengthen it a little, was a little wary on Hurn but will watch him.
Have downgraded Selwood to Barlow based on some research I have done, and also upgraded Ziebell (whom you discussed) to Bennell which is a risk but he's averaged 97, 96, 95 in his last 3 years so surely it's about time he becomes a 100+ scorer?

Bennell has Melb, StK, GWS, Brisbane, Adel, WCE & Geel in his first 7 weeks so could get off to a flyer.

Thoughts?? $35k leftover this time which in much more pleased about.

care to share it? :P

love the upgrade to Bennell too man

Selwood to Barlow would be based on points per minute comparison? Barlow definitely a more consistent scorer for me, just needs to stop getting injured.

Ziebell > Bennell is an interesting one. Bennell, will go well early with omeara to be rested up forward giving more midfield time to others. But Bennell only had that one ripper score of 157 that really boosted his average! I think Ziebell > Martin is a better move with the hint martins midfield time will increase dramatically!
Bennell great pod!

#79
Selwood's avg (3 round) vs opponents (first half of 2015) = 114.5

It is widely known that he has a slower first half of the year and ill try to take advantage of it.
2014 first half avg = 117 / second half avg = 126
2013 first half avg = 107.18 / second half avg = 129.63

He's priced at 120 and has Hawks, Syd, Freo, GC, NM, Rich, Coll (in the first seven rounds which is tough, where after I will look to pick him up as my first upgrade) and therefore I could see him averaging 115.

Whereas Barlow averaged 116.83 from the second half of year uninjured (from 78% tog) and is priced at 112 so I can see him improving and averaging over 115 this year. All he has to do is stay uninjured and that will occur. As stated also by FT13, his ppm are incredible.

I think if Bennell plays a full year (last two years he played 15, averaged 97 with 21) he will avg 100 comfortably, with those massive scores at the beginning of the year being helpful to s good start.

Bully

Careful with the round 12 bye, all of Ablett, Pendles & Barlow will be missing. Part of Selwood's appeal is he has the round 13 bye, by which stage you can fully utilise your trades to plug the holes.

Very fair comment mate, but the reason why I'm confident in not starting Selwood is because of the timing of the byes - Instead of Rds 8,9,10 it's 11,12,13 and gives us an extra few weeks to cash cow and prepare for upgrading and downgrading. I feel Selwood won't start with his price of a 120 average considering his draw and penciling in defeats for Geelong, and the affect the new point scaling might have on his games means he could plummet even lower to a 110 average (highly unlikely however). All of this is just rambling on, but what I'm really saying is, comparing his last few seasons and hoping he does it again this season might see him go through a patch, and be remarkably cheaper than a $650k price tag which is hefty to fork out at the beginning of the year

I know it doesn't really mean much, but you can put a line through Cordy. I read a few weeks ago that he injured himself

Also, when you make several changes, makes it easier if you post the updated team :)

I'm the same too man.. Was just thinking with Macmillan being in NM's best 22 everywhere I've read and an important player too who could average well above 70 considering when fit he averaged 68 and was quite consistent, he could be a wise pick.. Not at this stage though
