Nice side Wato. Only knock I have would be no Ablett and no Rocky.
:P

But a very very good side mate. Maybe also consider Buddy as more of an upgrade target than a starter.

Hahaha cheers man, appreciate it! I don't want Rocky, definitely not keen on him at $715k , but Ablett is someone who I really would love to have - only player I'd be willing to get rid of would be Fyfe in order to keep my bye structure as it is, seeing as Ablett/Pendles/Fyfe all share the same bye round. Would need to find an extra $40k from somewhere to do that, and I don't think Ablett can hold his price tag of $740k for very long to begin with, so might look for him later on.. Not confident on that though.

Franklin is simply as a POD to Dusty, didn't wanna go with what everyone else was doing and I think Buddy can score very well next year (110+).

Very good side can't fault any picks! I know he is a rookie but is Jack Steele going to get games? Like I have no Idea I'm just wondering.
Not sold on Franklin either but that's just my opinion I would take Martin over him.

Only a placeholder mate, rookies will change massively over the preseason so don't worry about them at all, or see them as permanent picks.
Why aren't you sold on him mate??

I don't know to be honest just a gut feeling! Not saying he will be bad just think Martin will be better! Both will go 100+ can't go wrong with either and Franklin will be somewhat of a pod this year with all the dpp.
I want be starting with him though.

Yeah your very might man, all comes down to your personal choices! Only reason I'm starting with him is purely because he will be a POD to Dusty and hopefully I can make some early ground on others who don't have him - I could easily lose ground too but that's the risk you take, isn't it?

Birchall --> Rookie
Reid --> Rookie
Rich --> Ablett jnr

Thoughts? I dunno what to do but I don't want Reid anymore or Rich and I want Ablett - (GAJ, Pendles, Fyfe, Jelwood, Sloane)

I don't mind this, Reid is injured anyway and it's a pretty strong Fwd line so dropping him out for a rookie is ok.
Birchall to a rookie i don't mind, he can chuck in some shockers when you don't need them.
Ablett for Rich is a given if one agrees with the above moves above, I do agree theres a fair chance he may drop some cash but im happier starting him than not starting him at the minute.
There should be a bit of value show up before round one down back and may be the line again to try to save a dollar and work on trading in the inform backs  as they come to light.The top mids and fwds i feel are easier to nail down than the backline at this time of year.

Not too sure about a 3 rookie defence man. You'd be better off going with 4 premo mids to get GAJ. Mid price rookies should generally score a lot better than defender rookies

Good team,

Why do people think Luey will score well.  Still has S Martin to contend with and with injury risk I dont see him as worth it.  If he starts off well then change in rnd 3.   Forward line is better with Belly but I think Belly back in and Luey out with cheap F/R will provide better cover and points.

Not convinced on Rich and his upside in what is strong midfield group.   Look at upgrading with money saved on Luey.

Luey is dirt cheap, thats why mate. Easy money to be made!

Have made some massive changes as has everyone with the new pricing and hopefully can keep as it is until NAB Cup starts. Obviously would love some feedback, been a week or two since I've posted so hopefully I can get into rating and what not also.

DEF: Shaw, Hibberd, Birchall, Waters, Gilbert, Johnson (Goddard, Abbott)

MID: Ablett jnr, Pendlebury, Fyfe, Selwood, NVB, Freeman, Heeney, Laverde (Neal-Bullen, Krakeour, Lambert)

RUC: Goldstein, Naitanui (Cox)

FWD: Goddard, Deledio, Franklin, Swan, Bellchambers, Clark (Hogan, Steele)

*Rookies are subject to change as always, not set in stone / Gilbert if fit can score very very well also, and if named Round 1 I will take a punt

Jackross10

Like it wato. Very similar to mine actually. Exact same mids as me except for rookies and also same rucks. Top 2 rucks set and forget imo! V good m8

GM

Yeah like it Watto.
Only ? for me is Birch .

Love Gilbert 80+ no doubt. Like your prem mids just watch the buy with all your premiums/midpricers. counted 9 in rd 12.
Not a huge fan of only 4 prem mids but the ones youve chosen fix that.
Rucks are gold.
fwds solid.

i reckon with those premo rucks bellchambers is a bit of a waiste could turn him into a midfield premo which would be more beneficial.

Why the ? On Birch mate.. All this uncertainty in defensive players  and it's getting me thinking that proven players are the way to go.. Birchall at $477k and with his record of averaging between 88-94 I think if take that every week.. He's very consistent apart from his few shockers but which defender doesn't have them, and Hodge/Mitchell/Lake etc will have further extensive periods off the field and hence I think he can improve on last years average.

Thanks a heap man! I'm thinking the same with Gilbert, such an experienced player and will get a good amount of games if he's fit enough.. Him and Fisher fit together could make a world of difference to St Kilda's defence best year.

Where do you suggest I get an extra 300k then from man? I'm quite content with Belly sitting at F5 for now, and if anything is upgrade him to a premium forward and leave the mids.. Will be plenty of rookie cash cows that will play to make it all worthwhile, and I'd rather stock up on forwards so I'm not wasting heaps of trades down there.

Thanks though mate, will think about it! :))

Edit: Haven't looked at byes as of yet but that is very interesting, thank you mate.. I'm not big on leaving players out because of their byes and I think that's the case again with a lot of them (Ablett, Pendles, Fyfe etc.) who will all be the top few players in their position.. I think the saving grace with that is they are Round 12 bye players so I can downgrade and upgrade (Gilbert, Belly etc) and should have no hassles there.
