#60
DEF: H. Shaw, M. Hibberd, G. Birchall, S. Hurn,, B. Waters, N. Brown (H. Goddard, Z. Cordy)
MID: G. Ablett jnr, S. Pendlebury, J. Selwood, P. Dangerfield, N. van Berlo, S. Biggs, N. Cockatoo, B. Boekhorst (I. Heeney, N. Freeman, J. Steele)
RUC: N. Naitanu, M. Krezuer (M. Cox)
FWD: B. Deledio, L. Franklin, D. Swan, J. Ziebell, T. Bellchambers, M. Clark (J. Hogan, N. Krakeour)
Cash left: $16,700

Completely new squad, much safer rookies and the addition of Belly and Ziebell allow me to only play one forward rookie.

Walker -> Hurn
Goldstein -> Kreuzer
Watson -> Danger
Laverde -> Ziebell
Vandenberg -> Biggs
Daniel -> Bellchambers

Not exactly the trades but something similar ^^

What are people's thoughts now?

Vinny

Teams looks good man.

Backline is almost identical to mine in terms of premiums but I've got Simpson over Smith. Just don't like how unproven he is and players don't usually back it up the year after their first breakout but I guess all the signs say he will improve. Good selection of midfielders, rucks and forwards. Do prefer BJ over Lids but can't really go wrong either way.

I reckon you can sit on that until the NAB Cup. Good luck with Year 12 too! ;)

Thanks Ben & MS, understand what you both mean and have changed my structure again as I like your thinking.

TEAM 1:
DEF: B Smith, H. Shaw, M. Hibberd, A. Walker, B. Waters, A. Johnson (H. Goddard, Z. Cordy)
MID: G. Ablett jnr, S. Pendlebury, J. Selwood, J. Watson, P. Dangerfield, N. van Berlo, I. Heeney, A. Vandenberg (N. Freeman, N. Krakouer, K. Lambert)
RUC: T. Goldstein, N. Naitanui (T. Nankervis)
FWD: B. Deledio, L. Franklin, D. Swan, M. Clark, J. Hogan, J. Laverde (J. Steele, C. Daniel)
CASH LEFT: $5,800

Team looks spot on now.

Have noticed one of FF's most successful SC'ers over the last couple of years has gone for this exact structure too so you may be on to a winner.

I think I'll take the punt on Smith, had a massive year and as you said the signs say he will indeed improve - if he averages 95 I'll be happy. Lids over BJ is simply because of the byes, trying to cut down on Round 12 players and Lids had a really good end to last year, but I will monitor.

Thanks bro, you too! Few of us doing it hahaha ;)

Thanks mate. Just had a quick look and I'm guessing Holz? Hahaha so similar actually, think there's 3 or 4 premium differences. Talking about that, I just upgraded Watson to Barlow, good move or not? Loved him this year, think he can push 115-120.

Thanks lads! :))

An uncontracted Dangerfield with all the pressure that will come to him as a starting mid seems a big risk to me.

If you are looking at another round 11 mid I would have a close look at MMurph (I have my reasons) or spend the extra cash to try to get Rocky in.

Otherwise downgrade Danger to a rookie and upgrade one of Laverde, Steele or Daniel to Dusty/Goddard etc

Very good side none te less.

eaglesman

No he hasn't because Gilbert is not a premo

_wato

Have pretty much done what you said AK, think this might be a better structure.

DEF: H. Shaw, M. Hibberd, G. Birchall, A. Walker, B. Waters, H. Goddard (D. Mckenzie, Z. Cordy)
MID: G Ablett jnr, S. Pendlebury, J. Selwood, J. Watson, N. van Berlo, N. Cockatoo, I. Heeney, B. Boekhorst (N. Freeman, J. Steele, K. Lambert)
RUC: T. Goldstein, N. Naitanui (T. Nankervis)
FWD: B. Deledio, L. Franklin, D. Martin, D. Swan, M. Clark, J. Hogan (C. Daniel, N. Krakeour)
Cash left: $15,600

OR would you rather

DEF: B Smith, H. Shaw, M. Hibberd, A. Walker, B. Waters, A. Johnson (H. Goddard, Z. Cordy)
MID: G. Ablett jnr, S. Pendlebury, J. Selwood, J. Watson, P. Dangerfield, N. van Berlo, I. Heeney, A. Vandenberg (N. Freeman, N. Krakouer, K. Lambert)
RUC: T. Goldstein, N. Naitanui (T. Nankervis)
FWD: B. Deledio, L. Franklin, D. Swan, M. Clark, J. Hogan, J. Laverde (J. Steele, C. Daniel)
Cash left: $5,800

So really its Martin + Cockatoo + better rookies v Danger + Laverde

Ricochet

Johnson is out for the year mate, he's buggered his knee again. Think you need someone a lot stronger at D6 like a Whitecross or someone along those lines

Only ever a placeholder mate, never set on rookies at this time! Don't like Whitecross, will not get games early and think everyone is being way too over the top about the lack of rookies coming through - there will always be some that pop up (let's hope hahaha)

Is it worth making Waters D6 though??

Not at this stage, like you said hopefully someone pops up. I wouldn't rule out Whitecross though. Rated very highly down at the Hawks and still has better JS than any other rookies at this stage.

Bit if noone does pop up then thats my plan too, Waters to D6.

fasttrack13

Team 1 is the way I'd be leaning mate! Find cash for D6 as Rico said! Nice stuff though

Money Shot

I actually prefer team 2 as it is very very similar to mine.
In saying that it is unlikely that all the rookies we are hoping for pop up.

Ratzondix

Team 1 for me mate. Don't like walker. Would possibly drop Watson to a.swallow and upgrade walker. My 2 cents. Either way strong team I rate it.

GM

Team 1 mate
+  Walker to Newnes
