Good start wato don't like no Gaz or Rocky to pump out that really big captains score Pendles is a gun but with beams gone he seems to be the one that will cop the hard tag from most teams , good rucks but till the player positions and prices are out won't say much more good to see you spent every cent  ;)

Mr.Witt

I am too going with no Gaz or Rocky for a few reasons so I don't think you have to worry about that. It is a solid team but I would be a bit worried about having no money incase you need to upgrade a rookie or something. But very solid team cant really fault it apart from the money side of things.
After having a quick look again you haven't really spent much money on rookies which in my opinion you will need to if you want them playing round one so I would just try and find even an extra 50k somewhere and it would help you out heaps later.

could you rate my team: http://forum.fanfooty.com.au/index.php/topic,99602.0.html

One of Priddis/Swan probably needs to become GAJ/Rocky

Do you want to keep Lumumba in your side at the end of the season?

Very good start and good structure.

GM

Nice start Watto
Defense - Heater is my never again list
Mids look great , Rich could be a cheap stepping stone.
Rucks A+
Fwds  A
Go the Allstars buddy.

Dons

Agree, nice start. Not sure Lumumba will serve as a keeper or a quick stepping stone, but a change of clubs could make all the difference. 12-13 locked keepers and a solid structure.

Thanks for the input lads, much appreciated.. Will get around to all of your teams, most likely tomorrow when I get some time.

No Ablett or Rocky still, and I have my reasons!! Honestly don't think they will hold their immediate prices and Pendles/Jelwood/Fyfe give me plenty of captaincy choices.

So the changes I made to the current team are like this.

OUT: Lumumba, Priddis, Goldstein, Griffin, Gray, Howard
IN: Mckenzie, Cotchin, Kreuzer, Leuenberger, NRoo, Ziebell

Simply put, Lumumba I'm not confident with and I think Mckenzie (89 average last year), (80 average this year injured and with 3 sub games which puts his average to 90) can take his game to another level with KK developing and the acquisition of Malceski to shy attention away from him.
Priddis > Cotchin but the Tigers have a good early run and he could score reasonably well, plus Priddis may go back to scoring sub 110 and might not be a great pickup anyway.. Cotchin could go mental.
Goldstein + Griffin = Kreuzer + Leuey - Although I won't have Goldy to begin with and the initial points, Kreuzer + Leuey can score reasonably well also and will increase in price dramatically (hopefully and could therefore be a great cash cow).
Gray + Howard < NRoo + Ziebell - Gray will be a must have but I don't see him increasing in price and in fact I see him potentially losing 5ppg considering the improvement that is to come from PA's younger group and even blokes including Ebert/Hartlett/Boak who all average around 95-110 and can improve on that.
NRoo has a great early run and has averaged 110 over the first 6 rounds in the past 3 years and I can see him still doing well although he is aging.. Only play 4 top 8 teams (Essendon twice) in the first 17 Rounds which is crazy!!
Ziebell is a gun and with increased minutes will churn out a 105+ average quite easily in my opinion.

Pretty happy with my overall changes I've made. I'll post the updated team in a seperate post.

The thing is with the addition of Malcho I can see Cannon playing more of a lock down role with KK, Malcho and Harbrow being the rebound options. Cannon will take the 3rd tall and kickouts for obvious reasons

When you have pendles, fyfe and selwood... im not sure youve got to worry about captain scores especially with the loophole!

As for your team wato
I reckon you should hold lumumba! Cotchin is a good pick i think contract talks were on his mind aswell as struggling with captaincy. His clangerswas due to how much ball he had to win inside now he has players that can help. Good ruck idea i have much the same thought. Not sure on rooey, explore maybe D.Smith players such as him

You could be right.. Interesting to see that KK and Mckenzie are both 188cm, just the fact that Cannon is much bigger and has had more conditioning through years of working in the gym. Malceski gets the #1 forward tag EVERY week now, regardless of who they're playing I think, whereas at Sydney it was either Mcveigh/Malco. Mckenzie has such a beautiful kick that I can't see him not playing loose at times and even throughout this year without Malceski he had to carry a large burden and take the third tall.
He had 10x >80 scores, 6x >90 scores and only 7x scores <80 with 3 only <70. Has soooo much potential to be a very good fantasy player

Rookies are still subject to change also, not finalised! Cash left - $50k or so, much more than before - still not worrying about bye structure as of yet, still have plenty of time to figure that out.

Not sure on Lumumba man, bit wary of how he can go missing in games, however I suppose Roos will get the very best out of him.
I love Cotchin as a players is frustrating at times, but I love having him in my fantasy team.. Started him last year to a very bad reception which was granted but this year has a much different feel to it.
I'm liking the thought of Rooey, will be very much of a POD and D.Smith is on a lot of peoples minds yet I'm a bit suss about his potential to score well - Ward, Griffen, Treloar, Greene, Shiel, Coniglio, Shaw, Mummy, Scully etc will all be taking lots of points.

Mr.Witt

That team looks pretty good! And you have almost convinced me to drop Gray and get Roo

Dons

I'd be concerned about Roo spending a little time as a decoy of sorts next year. He could take the second up defender away from the ball and help with the development of their young forwards. Sure, it wouldn't happen every fwd 50 entry, but it could impact on his scoring a little. I'd also be concerned about his knee impacting him again, and the fact I can't see the saints winning a huge amount of games again, so he might not impact the scoreboard as much as needed from a fwd to ave 90+. I did consider him, but too risky for me.

Exactly what I was thinking!
