Actually starting to think that I'll revert back to 4 premo mids but add in an extra premo fwd. A few reasons for it.

- DMartin, Swan, Lids, Goddard, Bennell all have the ability to = Cotchin's output
- Clark is still struggling with his calf so its putting me off starting him. Or if he is fit, I'm less confident on fwd rookies scoring as much as some mid rookies

So basically I'm looking at it from a cash generating point of view. Mid rookies to generate more cash and generally score better without a loss of points between Cotchin and a fwd premo. And the extra bench spot gives greater cover for rookies if they miss a game/cop a vest

Can see the rationale however most of the rookies this year are M/F, one in the same all things considered. I would also recommend having a rookie DPP link so you can plug F6 with a high scorer, you may even find an 80+ player out of Lambert, Steele, Laverde and Krakouer.

I am starting Gray franklin Martin and Swan in forwards
And deciding between 4 and 5 mids ... If 4 rocky will be there if 5 it will be kennedy/barlow

Capper

DM kills DT but worries me in SC though

Agree on both points. You can add a mid rookie in that is similar priced and will score fairly well. I also think that Cotchin might not be a keeper so you can lock in a guy you think will be close to 95% lock of being in your team at the end of the ear and it saves you two trades. I was tossing up the same decision with Swallow or the extra 10k for Harley. I went with Harley for the same reasons (although I still have Clark but my plan is swing Laverde forward and bring in a mid rookie)

This is what I'm looking at atm.

Notes
- Basically I've left enough cash at R3 for a rookie ruck to pop up like a Lobb, Phillips, PWright or Durdin. If that fails then Leuey becomes R2, TMitchell becomes Belly, and R3 becomes a basement priced rookie FWD/RUCK.
- Willing to take the punt on Ibbo at D5 if Freo's key backs are fit and firing. If not then Yeo or Seedsman will be considered here.
- Tossing up between Pendles and Fyfe. Pendles is more durable but for some reason I have a gut feeling he may feel the impact of no Beams. I don't know how/why, its just a feeling.
- In terms of premo keepers (+Belly) my bye structure is 3/6/5 which I can work with.

Earlier Notes to Keep in Mind
- Would really love to get Bennell in there somewhere consider how good his run is up to his bye. If a rookie ruck pops up then I'll upgrade Belly to him. Consider for TMItchell's place at F4
- Was tossing up between Walker and Hurn. Hurn has a better bye and Walker has had a slightly interrupted preseason. Need to monitor him. I'm all over Lumumba now, so he has come in.
- Other fwds to consider were Jack Steele, Caleb Daniel, Markworth, Sylvia (206k), Membrey, Blease, Petracca, MMcGovern, Lecras, JThomas, etc. Add in Staker and Garlett at around the 200-250k
- Other mids to consider were Heeney, Rich, Waterman, Stretch, Boekhorst, Cavka, Vanderberg, Anderson, Cockatoo, O'Rourke, Cripps, Newton, Acres, etc (main concern is Heeney's JS, but I think he'll surprise a few and play)
- Real focus on Guns N Rooks this year
- strongly considering HBennell, DMart, Ziebell up fwd and Krooz in the rucks.

Yeh older notes I don't touch and re-post just to go over again closer to the start of the season season.

Vinny

Do you have any numbers or anything at all with Pendles scoring without Beams or is it 100% gut feeling man?

Beams barley played any footy in 2013 since he got injured early and was a late withdrawal round 1, hence the discount last year. He averaged 128.5 between rounds 1 and 15 (Beams returned round 16)

Swan was firing in 2013 if swan isn't that could be some concern for Pendles...

Sidebottom has kept increasing his output since then and should provide good support. I don't think the tag really hurts Pendlebury, he is too good and has proved it over the years by destroying his opponents week in week out

Grufflez

Yeah tag won't bother Pendles. lock him in.

AaronKirk

Not sure how Wright fits in at Gold Coast. I'd be surprised if he played early. Lobb or Nankervis for R3 if you are looking for someone who could get games this season.

How is Karnezis tracking? If fit he probably would sit in the pies 22, but need to see him have a decent NAB challenge to consider him.

Pendles clearly over Fyfe.

cuz_crew

all over lumumba.. okay ???

belly should be good to average 60 this year.. nice pick up  :P

Brayshaw is over priced... you can pick up a rookie for 117K who will play as much and score as much.

Hurn is broken and overpriced. better options than him.
