Swan will go 110+ if he gets through this preseason. Don't write him off.

Mat0369

Judd's last 3 seasons

104, 99, 90

Boyd's last 3 seasons

112, 104, 97

Scott Thompson's

110, 98, 93

Pav has averaged 80 and 85 the last two years

Swan has always relied on heavy rotations since he is a burst player, throw in capped rotations. He has never had the elite fitness base of the guys you listed in NRoo, Pav, Kane Cornes and Dean Cox or a fitness freak like ROK. As a forward he is worth considering at his price but don't bother as a mid, there are better options. Not everyone is going to have Boomer like performances and Boomer still has his best asset which is his speed. Best case for Swan is he hits 105

All three have battled injuries though man. And are 1-2yrs older than Swan.
He was injured all year and all current reports have him flying on the track.
Even if he returns to about 90% of his form last year he stil goes 110+

Nice start mate, you've gone very strong in the mids with 5 premos and a midpricers in Rich. I know a lot are looking at starting without Ablett/Rocky next year but personally feel like you need one of them. Redden is another slightly riskier one. I just look at the Brisbane midfield and see #1 Beams #2 Rocky #3 Hanley/Redden. If Hanley plays midfield, does that give a little less resposibility to Redden and he drops away. Or does he get more freedom and continue to score well. I'm not sure.

Rucks are perfect. Have been set on that combo for a while. Maybe look at a ruck/fwd rookie instead of Nankervis to give you that link with Bellchambers also for extra cover.

Really like the structure of your fwd line. Martin is an obvious pick and I'll be all over Lids as well if he gets fwd status. I reckon Swan has next to zero chance of getting fwd status though. If you read on from here http://forum.fanfooty.com.au/index.php/topic,99520.msg1502677.html#msg1502677 there's a podcast that talks about his chances from earlier in the year. Other premos to consider would be Buddy, Gray, Ziebell.

I have a few issues with the defence personally, but thats just my opinion on some of the players. With BSmith, Henderson and Jaensch all looking to fill that rebounding role at Adelaide PLUS the addition of a new coach who could change up things significantly, I'd stay away from Jaensch at this stage. Lumumba is getting a lot of love atm but coming into a new team that is significantly weaker than the Pies puts me off him. Hibberd is a perfect pick. And Waters is risky but definitely worth it if he can get through this preseason. WhiteX I'm not so sure about. Just because I have no idea where he slips into the Hawks side. Maybe look at Colquhoun? Coming off an ACL but is absolutely flying atm. Finished top 3 in both 3km's and is a fantasy pig. Love the Biggs pick

Overall I like the structure mate. You've managed to fit in an extra premo mid without sacfricing the team too much (altho I would love to see Ablett/Rocky in there some where :P). It might be worth considering dropping down to 4 premos and 1 midpricer though, just to strenghten that backline. Just feels like a few too many risks back there.

You're right mate, there are a heap of risks in it at the moment, and there will surely be changes.

The backline l could imagine changing subsatantially

I hear ya about Rocky/Ablett, but l'm concerned about Beams being at Brissy and the possibility of extra fwd time for Rocky. As for Ablett, well he hasnt even started contact work yet and is heavily favouring his shoulder.

Nankervis will definately become a r/f rook if Kruez doesnt get mpp status

Yeh man the backline is definitely the hardest line this year. Having troubles with it also. Should become easier once positional changes are made though.

Yeh understand the concern for Rocky. On Ablett though, he's running which is all that matters at this stage of the year. Shoulder's are a lot different because you can run from early on, then do only a month or so (sometimes only a few weeks) of contact before jumping straight into gameplay. So yeh, personally I'm not concerned unless he has troubles in the new year

Mr.Witt

Do you know when the positional changes will be confirmed?

He might struggle with moving around after that though.

Notes
- Rookies are just placeholders atm
- Defender premiums aren't really set, and don't like paying top dollar for Malceski, but will wait to see who gets defender status.
- Other fwds to consider were Blease, Mitch McGovern, Lecras, JThomas, etc.
- Other mids to consider were Rich, Petracca, Waterman, Stretch, Dumont, Boekhorst, Sylvia, etc (main concern is Heeney's JS, but I think he'll surprise a few and play)
- Real focus on Guns N Rooks this year
- strongly considering HBennell and Bellchambers
- If VS follow AF with their positional changes then lock in Lids, Goddard and Swan in the fwd line. Will look something like DMartin, Swan, Deledio, Goddard, MClarke, Hogan (Steele, Kommer)
