Might as well chuck something together to start with.

Notes
- Rookies are just placeholders atm
- Defender premiums aren't really set, and don't like paying top dollar for Malceski, but will wait to see who gets defender status.
- Other fwds to consider were Blease, Mitch McGovern, Lecras, JThomas, etc.
- Other mids to consider were Rich, Petracca, Waterman, Stretch, Dumont, Boekhorst, Sylvia, etc (main concern is Heeney's JS, but I think he'll surprise a few and play)
- Real focus on Guns N Rooks this year

Salary cap left: $74,300.

Nick Malceski, Heath Shaw, Michael Hibberd, Andrew Walker, Sam Colquhoun, Shane Biggs
Hugh Goddard, Brenden Abbott

Gary Ablett jnr, Tom Rockliff, Scott Pendlebury, Callan Ward, Angus Brayshaw, Isaac Heeney, Nathan Freeman, Patrick Karnezis
Jayden Laverde, Alex Neal-Bullen

Nic Naitanui, Matthew Leuenberger
Matthew Kreuzer, Toby Nankervis

Robbie Gray, Lance Franklin, Dustin Martin, Jack Ziebell, Mitchell Clark, Jesse Hogan
Nick Kommer, Jack Steele

Mr.Witt

I know this probably doesn't help your team but it looks good and I cant really find anywhere to criticise. You have a good structure and have cash left over. Great team mate.

could you tell me your thoughts on my team at http://forum.fanfooty.com.au/index.php/topic,99602.0.html

Yep done man, nice side

SydneyRox

The fwd line is a copy of mine, so i cant fault it.

Very surprised you have gone with Rocky, and esp Rocky and GAJ. Dont like Karnezis, reckon his limited and as you said Heeney JS is poor to say the least. Think Rich is a good option if you decide to downgrade Rocky.
Defense looks pretty good, as do the rucks.
Overall pretty solid for this time of year

Ricochet

Thanks mate, yeh I'll still start with 4 premos and think Rocky can keep up a similar output. Will only bring Rich in if I upgrade a rookie i think.

Love it Ric! Best I have seen. I think I'll go with similar setup with the guns and rookies. I really want Cotchin for some reason but not sure if I can fit him in with the mids this year.

Yeah have the same feeling. Maybe a gaz, rocky, Fyfe and Cotchin mid for me ::)

I haven't even looked at prices or anything as I don't even bother start looking into SC until the real game opens, but Kreuzer on the bench seems like a bit of a waste?

On my phone so can't remember exactly but he was early 200s from memory. I went with 3 midprice rucks last year and loopholed all year and it worked extremely well. So I'll do something similar this year, especially with Leuey coming off a big layoff and Krooz's injury proneness. Thats the plan anyway

Yeah makes sense for sure :)

Cant wait to the real SC opens so I can get in, see the prices and positions and get started too, but having Luey, Kruz and NicNat will be a very popular combo

a different approach to the defence... looks very solid though. whats the wrap on colquhoun? is he a best 22 player?
4 prem midfield is interesting, i think there will be a lot of value through there.
i like the idea of the rucks with kreuzer there having a similar idea myself. 3 risky options though potentially someone more solid than nic nat?
I like your fwd line but there are good mid-price options you could explore... Eg, walters, garlett and co.
but i like what youve come up with its solid

Thanks for the feedback mate. Going a Guns N Rooks strategy this year so staying away from midpricers except for the value in the rucks, thats too obvious to pass up. Colq is a great fantasy scorer but was plagued with injuries last year. Early preseason reports have him flying atm

While it is way to early to be doing this with no knowledge of prices or positioning, I think it might be worth avoiding guys with really bad injury histories/brain fades. This brings me to your backs. The two guys I am looking at is Shaw and Malcho, especially if Malcho is priced mid 500's he could kill your team. First off we don't know how Malceski is going to slot into the Suns back half and if his LARS will go pop again. I think I would look at him as an upgrade option and go with someone in the mid price range. Two guys that I instantly think of are Ricky Henderson and Paul Seedsman depending on their prices. Obviously this is going against the injury history part of the post since they just had injury interrupted season but there will be a lot less money tied up in these guys and you would want to see them play in the NAB a bit but they could be breakout candidates.

I see more risk in seedsman and henderson than malceski. The two recomended could bomb out and average mid 70s. Malceski would more than likely average above 90 under any circumstance.
