Yeah, it's only the SCG where you need spin. So Australias semi final will be the next time. Ireland of all nations could be Australias quarter final opponent :o

I know I said drop Ballance last week, but please go in unchanged England, or only do the Finn to Jordan swap.

Hows that work? Ireland would need to beat India? Surely you dont think thats a chance?
No, they only need to beat Pakistan on Sunday to finish 3rd.

Pakistan/Ireland/Windies are playing for two spots. I'd say it's likely that the first two progress considering how hot and cold the Windies have been.

The_Captain

Ireland going from 3/205 to all out 259... Should be simple for the Indians to knock that down. Cant see Windies loosing to UAE. Think the Windies will still progress because ireland will still need 1 more win...

This makes the next workld cup interesting as "minow" countries are beating top countries. Kick England and WIs out and bring in the Tigers and greens

Mathews just smashed four 6's in a row

Bill Manspeaker

he went for the 5th but got caught on the rope  :(

Well, at this stage yes. But West Indies will still make the Quarters. And there's a good 2 years before you start worrying about the next World Cup.

Oh, and the next World Cup is being held in England, so they automatically qualify ;)

Seriously, just how good is Kumar Sangakkara?

Today he scored his 4th ODI century in a row. Not to mention he's done it in a World Cup as well.

Truly magnificent, seriously underrated and under-appreciated I think.

Not sure if he's that underrated anymore.. I think everyone who knows cricket, would agree that Sangakarra is one of the modern day greats :)

I think under-appreciated is probably the best term. He's just no fuss and goes about his business so quietly and he's ridiculously humble too. Just so impressive.

Only Kallis has better numbers.

If he can get a stumping, it'll be his 100th in ODIs, to go with his 400 catches. :o 41 average, 24 100s, 93 50s.

That's before mentioning his average of 58.66 in tests.
