Not sure how that was a great game... Close, but terrible batting throughout. And it's barely a cricket ground so those mishowers going into the crowd don't make good viewing at all.

Many better games this World Cup alone.

Agree,

Besides the 5 minutes of excitement at the end that Starc provided... It was pretty piss poor batting from both sides. So many soft dismissals from the Aussies. Don't know if it was the pressure or of everyone was tryin to be a hero and tee up from the get go instead on nudging them around for a while!

The quality of bowling in that game was top class, it's so easy to see high scoring matches with top batsmen these days, that sort of match is a really good style of cricket. Pity there isn't more of it.

If you don't like greatest, replace it with "most exciting".

Was watching it at Grazz's, shattered, but at least we didn't throw in the towel. Some of Starks bowling at the death -- wow-wee Mitchy

The batting made the bowling look better than it was. The two full associate matches were better matches. I'll agree that it was exciting though at the end. Of the two 5fers, two wickets were chopped on, a few were loose shots and the rest were tailenders.

A NZ vs AUS semi can only occur if they finish 1st and 3rd or 2nd and 4th in the groups. The higher placed side gets the home advantage for the match.

Haha Watson the 4 million dollar man , what do the good players earn  ::)

Watson would be Australia's greatest cricketer if he didn't have 3 fatal flaws

1. He can't flowering bat
2. He can't flowering bowl
3. He can't flowering field

I think the groups will end up like this.

Group A
New Zealand - 12 points
Australia - 9 points
England - 8 points
Sri Lanka - 6 points

Group B
India - 12 points
SA - 10 points
Ire/WI/Pak - 6 points

Quarter finals
Ind v SL
SA v Eng
Aus v Ire/Wi/Pak
NZ v Ire/Wi/Pak

Semi Finals
Ind v Aus
NZ v SA

Final
Aus v NZ at the MCG

How amazing would that be..

R.Griffen

A few issues with that is Sri Lanka will beat England and still has an easy game left.

Group B Zimbabwe will also beat Pakistain today and after that Pakistan will have 3 losses and no wins. Zimbabwe should beat Ireland they haven't been bad

PowerBug

Can easily see Zimbabwe and Ireland making it through from Group B.

Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Scotland I don't think will do enough to qualify for the quarters.

England will beat Sri Lanka and have already played the two toughest teams in the pool so will win their last 2 after this game.
They're on 203/4 after 40, so looking good.. Root 78*

Pakistan will beat Zimbabwe today, and should win their remaining games too, still to play UAE and Ireland.

PowerBug

If Pakistan field anything like they did against the West Indies they won't win another game. Only thing that stops them from looking top class for more than one match.

Root's got himself a century, has played well actually.

PowerBug

Pakistan started like they are Pakistan. 4/2, both openers gone.

Really don't understand why Pakistan are favourites. They have been horrible

R.Griffen

Also if Pakistan don't win today, they still yet to play South Africa. That would finish their tournament
