I don't know why England don't just play Bopara and then actually use him as an all-rounder

Because as a batsman he's not good enough to make the side. And in the last 7 ODIs he's bowled about 7 overs all up. The introduction of Ali as an All Rounder has hurt him.

Well if they actually bowled him then he would be more useful

Yeah well, they don't bowl him because obviously they don't rate his bowling... Still, he has to come in to the side next match. Experience ahs to count for something.

Well obviously who they rate is a pretty shoddy indicator!

Either way Australia still need to beat New Zealand if they want to come top of the group. If anything Bangladesh getting that one point will hurt England more.

True but if this was a washout and NZ beat the Aussies the Bangers put themselves in a position if they can cause more upsets which could see both Poms and Aussies in trouble
