haha no Jukesy, the game was over. you know this

Taylor deserved a hundred though. this has taken a bit of the joy out of beating the poms

England aren't exactly a good opposition but really dominating way to start the tournament. Onya boys!

PowerBug

Abitov Abookmaykar and I. Nofiqs, Indian and Pakistani citizens respectfully, spoke to Kumar Dharmasena at the change of innings and offered him $100,000 for Taylor to make a score in the 90s.

You reckon? Because I'm literally serious 100% of the time and never make a joke. Ever. I mean every word I ever say (because I'm Harry Potter)

Quite literally only one country in the world cares about cricket n79

PowerBug

So can someone explain what happened, I'm not watching. How far after the finger went up were the bails broken? Did the batsmen stop running? Was Anderson aware that it was out before being runout?

That's bullshower. Deserved a hundred.

Surely the ball is dead once a player is given out ???

From the DRS review guidelines

Quote3.6. Dead ball
a) If following a Player Review request, an original decision of ‘’Out’’ is changed to ‘’Not Out’’, then the ball is still deemed to have become dead when the original decision was made (as per Law 23.1(a)(iii)). The batting side, while benefiting from the reversal of the dismissal, will not benefit from any runs that may subsequently have accrued from the delivery had the on-field umpire originally made a ‘’Not Out‟ decision, other than any No Balls penalty that could arise under 3.3 (g) above.

HOWEVER if the Run Out occurred BEFORE the "Out" decision was made, the Square Leg umpire is still within his rights to ask for a review of the run out

But it didn't so he shouldn't be out.

PowerBug

If neither Maxwell or Anderson stopped play, then I can see why the out decision has stood. But I probably need to see the footage before making a proper judgement on that

The only relevance to this decision was Taylor trying to get his hundred, but imagine if the game was in the balance :o
