Enjoyed this comment on Cricinfo:

whirlaway: "SL quite routinely deploy 7 or 8 bowlers to share the 50 overs. While India finds it difficult to get even a 6th bowler who is good enough to bowl 5 or 6 overs."

What do we think NZ are looking at for a total here?

192/2 from 33 atm. Should get close to 300 you'd think.

yep should smash 300. 330+

Williamson's wicket hurts

and now another??

Mendis on a hattrick

Nige

Can't see Anderson mucking around, he'll pile on the runs now I reckon.

Spin playing a good part even though it looked like a great day for seam and Swing bowlers

Herath and Mendis are quality and Dilshan's still got it.

Gonna be interesting to see how Vettori goes, don't think the Kiwis have too many other spin options available?

PowerBug

Williamson bowls a fair bit for Yorkshire and will be bowling today you'd think. There's Ross Taylor's leg spin too but he probably hasn't bowled in 5 years :P So likely Vettori and Williamson will bowl 16-20 overs of spin.

I forgot that Williamson was a spinner too, don't know why I kept thinking he was a seamer.

My boy Suranga Lakmal back in, wonder if he can keep up his good work.

R.Griffen

Lakmal lucky with that nearly a no ball and the full toss was put to he fielder instead of over the fence

Bill Manspeaker

harsh call there. hard to tell if his foot was planted before the line but I probably would've given it

Why did Mendis only bowl 2 overs?
Yeah, very strange. Especially when they persisted with Malinga who ended up going for like 75 or something off his 10.

Malinga finished well 6 overs for 38 while the final 15 overs went for 150+

And everyone knows you don't bowl spin to Anderson the same reason why Herath didn't bowl out

But saying that when a guy is bowling well you don't worry about who's batting

Yeah, this is exactly it. Mendis was looking terrific, and considering he'd only gone for 5 runs off 2 overs and gotten 2 wickets it probably would have been worth the risk.
