not sure about warm ups but Adelaide has 3 group stage games, and a quarter-final

Should Australia progress out of their 7-team group stage (whether they finish 1, 2, 3 or 4) they'll be playing the QF in Adelaide - I've got my tickets for that one.

But the thing that irks me most is that Sydney gets the Australia Day game instead of Adelaide... CA says that is apparently due to the World Cup scheduling... yet Sydney has more games than Adelaide so why should we have to give AUS Day up??

And thanks to that, Adelaide doesn't have any international cricket in January - bizarre

You can't really compare Adelaide to Sydney because Melbourne and Sydney will always get more/better matches. We're competing against Brisbane and Perth.

Although it sucks not having the traditional Australia Day match here this season, we get a World Cup QF that will involve Australia(Brisbane and Perth don't) and we got a test here (Perth don't) so we've done alright ;)

I've got my tickets for the QF and 2 of the group stage games (India v Pakistan game sold out in 5 minutes)

Got tickets to the QF here in Adelaide. And Aus vs Eng at the G :)

And this is why I DIDN'T want him to make the squad. I now have the urge to put money on him being awesome (which he is may I add).

I also worry for his safety when England arrive in Adelaide for their group match vs Bangladesh :)

I found this in an article written a month ago:

"Surely England cannot keep up their phenomenal record for mislaying the one-day captain at the end of a World Cup. The 1999 competition saw off Alec Stewart, 2003 proved a Rubicon too far for Hussain, 2007 spelt the end for Michael Vaughan, and 2011 the bucket of cold water for Andrew Strauss."

Looks like they didn't even bother waiting for the WC to remove their captain this time :D

just over a month away! Very very excited now.

When does the AUS squad have to be named?

KorridorovUncertainty

Get named this week. The 7th I believe. That would mean Wednesday.

Picking a WC squad is actually so much tougher than it seems. So many names being tossed up. Radio dudes are saying they reckon Sandhu, AGAR, Cummins, Haddin, Maxwell will all make it :o

I can see the reason behind picking all of them but Agar tbh.

Makes sense to do it after the test is done

Watching the Big Bash tonight the would have to consider asking one George Bradley Hogg if he wants to play in the world cup/

For the sake of argument here is my Aussie XV for the world cup

David Warner
Shane Watson
Michael Clarke (C)
Steve Smith (VC)
George Bailey
Brad Haddin (wk)
Mitch Marsh
James Faulkner
Mitchell Johnson
Ryan Harris
Nathan Lyon

Reserves

Aaron Finch
Glenn Maxwell
Pat Cummins
Josh Hazlewood

If Pup is not fit I would hope that the Aussies seriously consider picking Michael Klinger. Pro number 3, would be able to assist with leadership and is in unbelievable form.

I wonder who is in the 30-man squad for the Aussies. We won't know because this has not been released publically
