Missed the entire season battling injuries and only played one VFL match towards the end of the year.Fanplanner has him priced at $117,000,he is a lock for your forward bench.

Ricochet

Should be in every team if named round 1

Jukes

Next GOAT, and he's from Claremont too :3

Lock him in people

I know he's gonna be cheap and have great JS but is a key forward from Melbourne really as much of a lock as people are making out? Can't see him averaging more than 50-60.

First up he isn't just any key forward he is a Jesse Hogan was afl ready two years ago and certainly ready now.

Also he isn't just a key forward , he can move around the ground abit too. Has the capability of playing in the mid if needed.

People raved about Jack Martin too...

Hogan will still be in my side at this stage but only because of my lack of knowledge on other rookie forwards. Will be making my mind up over the nab cup

Hogan has the body for it though....And he's already proved himself against the bigger bodies in the VFL

Martin had played against men the year before his AFL debut too but yeah I know they are different players.
Just really put off by young key forwards. You just know there's gonna be some shockers in the 30s every now and then.
Will wait and see what else pops up though and how he looks over the nab challenge.

Martin still going to be an absolute gun will just take a bit longer with his size, he got a bad injury anyway so not sure how you can judge him they were obviously taking it easy with him in the forward line and he still looked good

Not saying he won't, my point was that overhyped kids don't always deliver in their first season.
I pick players based on A. Where they are most likely to play, and B. If they have the body ready for AFL.

Hogan does have the body but will be playing In the forward line of a bottom club. It's not like he will even get the luxury of playing on teams 4th best defenders as most first year kids would. He will likely take the 2nd best defender each week.
Forwards need goals for decent scores or to spend time on the ball. I just think he will be a 50-60 avg player in his first year.
Probably still ok for an F7/F8 but he's not locked in my team just yet.
