Reckon so GL may mean we play Maguire for the first couple of rounds if he does not come up.

Clarke may be ready for full training first week in Febraury so still a further 6/7 weeks before season starts.

An update on our injury list as we head into the pre-season break.

Luke McGuane (Knee) - 3 weeks
Trent West (Knee) - 4 weeks
Allen Christensen (Back) - 6 weeks
Cian Hanley (Knee) - 11 months
Daniel Merrett (Knee) - 4 weeks
Justin Clarke (Hamstring) - 8-10 weeks
Jonathan Freeman (Glute) - TBC

Freemans injury only recent and full diagnosis still to be done.  Bad luck for Clarke who injured his hammy at training.

The hell did Cian do?  :o

Haven't looked forward to a season like this in a long time.

Hanley set for hip surgery

Brisbane Lions Vice-Captain Pearce Hanley will undergo hip surgery and be sidelined for 12 weeks.

Hanley has developed soreness in recent weeks and been managed through training but the Club’s medical team believe it’s in his long-term best interest to have surgery now.

The surgery, scheduled for next week, will clean up bone and cartilage in the hip.

With a 12-week rehabilitation, it’s hoped he will only miss the first month of the AFL Premiership season.

Cheers mate. hadnt heard that one

Ringo

With Hanley injured who replaces him.  I am assuming Leppa still wants to play Rich of HB so would come down to one of Lester, Bewick or Claye Beams imo. Robertson and O'Brien may be outside chances as well.

Lester or Beams I'd say

Possibly beams. Well probably actually. I can see Leppa wanting to play both of the boys in round 1
