TEAM NAME: Dmacs Destroyers
DEF: P. Hanley, B. Smith, M. Hibberd, R. Henderson, B. Whitecross, S. Biggs (C. Marchbank, K. Langford)
MID: S. Pendlebury, N. Fyfe, J. Selwood, C. Ward, L. Parker, C. Petracca, J. Pickett, J. Laverde (J. De Goey, C. Ellis)
RUC: N. Naitanui, M. Kreuzer (T. Downie, F. Thurlow)
FWD: R. Gray, P. Dangerfield, L. Franklin, B. Reid, T. Lee, P. Ahern (J. Hogan, E. Langdon)
CASH LEFT: $26,100

First crack for the year. Lot of the rookies are speculative for now but tried to allow some cash for them, not have all bottom pricers. Not sure if Hanley will stay a Def so will change him for Malceski if I have too. Wait and see on players returning from injury. But prettyhappy with the premium and cheaper options.

Updated post draft and with the release of some new positions.

TEAM NAME: Dmacs Destroyers
DEF: B. Smith, H. Shaw, M. Hibberd, S. Hurn, S. Biggs, K. Langford (H. Goddard, T. Lamb)
MID: S. Pendlebury, N. Fyfe, J. Selwood, R. Sloane, C. Ward, C. Petracca, A. Brayshaw, B. Boekhorst (N. Freeman, J. Laverde)
RUC: N. Naitanui, T. Bellchambers (M. Kreuzer, T. Downie)
FWD: R. Gray, B. Goddard, D. Swan, B. Reid, P. Ahern, M. Clark (J. Hogan, A. Saad)
CASH LEFT: $11,700

Pretty happy with the structure and premium picks for my side. Allowing money for good rookies. Have gone weak in the forward line but I think there is good value in the cheaper players here. Petracca/Ahern for DPP. The rucks is very hard to pick right now, if a rookie ruck comes though as a good option I'll likely downgrade one of Kruezer/Bellchambers and change Ward to Ablett. At the moment there's very little chance I'd start Rockliff, but I'm 50/50 on starting Ablett, with Ward being the player I'd get rid of.

Very good side all solid picks only one I don't like at the moment is Gray as I see him being more of an option later in the year ...
Then maybe you could upgrade Reid to say Walters!
That's all I can comment on.
Could you rate my team at: http://forum.fanfooty.com.au/index.php/topic,99683.0.html

defence very good, love hurn pick.
Mids good, i like sloane but concerned with contract negotiations and what theyll do. Ward not quite sure, maybe look at a value option...

TEAM NAME: Dmacs Destroyers

DEF: H. Shaw, M. Hibberd, S. Hurn, B. Waters, J. Bews, N. Brown (H. Goddard, D. Viojo-Rainbow)

MID: G. Ablett jnr, S. Pendlebury, N. Fyfe, J. Selwood, R. Sloane, A. Brayshaw, I. Heeney, B. Boekhorst (J. Laverde, N. Freeman, D. Cavka)

RUC: S. Jacobs, N. Naitanui (M. Cox)

FWD: B. Deledio, D. Swan, J. Ziebell, T. Bellchambers, M. Clark, J. Hogan (J. Steele, K. Lambert)

CASH LEFT: $21,200

Pretty happy with this set up until NAB cup.
Backs - I think this is the line to go cheap, not many great scoring premiums, not many obvious up and coming guys, and most of the guys who will likely be top scorers won't really go up from their starting price so easier to upgrade this line later. Hibberd/Shaw are safe bets to have good averages, Hurn should hopefully step up now he is captain, and hopefully can stay injury free. The rest are speculaive and might change.

Mids - Pendles/Fyfe/Selwood pick themselves. Im not 100% on GAJ and Sloane but sticking with them for now. Watson and Dangerfield also options. Laverde for dual position.

Rucks - I just don't trust Kruezer/Luey, either they will get injured, or if they don't push 95 averages they are awkwardly priced. Jacobs will probably be the top scorer again, and Nic Nat should improve, provided he can stay injury free. Cox for dual position.

Fwds - Plenty of good options here, but happy with this line for now. Not certain I'll keep Bellcmabers now I've gotten rid of the risky rucks, but he's in for now.

Your team looks really good and I like all the picks and can only suggest a couple of changes.

Your mids look amazing. Nice work there.

I do see a bit of value in one of Leuey or Kreuzer though. Hopefully NAB will identify which one is the better pick.

Your defence and forwards both look a bit weak with Waters at D4 and Belly at F4. Its ok for one of the lines to be weak but I would try to squeeze one more keeper either back or forward if you can.

Jacobs to Leuey or Kreuzer could free up some cash but I understand if you're not comfortable starting either of them as there is risk involved.

Solid team that I give 9/10.

This is a great team to sit on for now cant really fault any picks, defence and forward line are a bit weak but you have made up for it in your other positions.

would love your thoughts on my team.

Couldn't help myself, most recent update, trying to work 5 premium mids into my team this year is hard but really don't want to start with 4!

Def - Shaw, Hurn, Newnes, Geary, Macmillan Brown (Dick, Goddard)

Mid - Ablett, Pendlebury, J.Selwood, Sloane, Ward, Cripps, Anderson, Heeney (Boekhurts, Freeman, Lambert)

Ruck - Jacobs, Nic Nat (Cox)

Fwd - Goddard, Martin, Swan, Salem, Clark, Karnezis (Steele, Daniel)

9.5k left over.

Bully

You will be ruing Brown at D6, I think you need to upgrade to Whitecross if available, failing that McMillan needs to go to D6 and perhaps Ibbo slots in at D4.

To do this I would look at downgrading Jacobs to a cheaper ruck (the new ruck rules will see his price drop) and downgrade one of Sloane or Ward to a discounted midfielder.

The obvious adjustment would be a Maric/Crouch combo, slightly risky but then again, you won't be bleeding any cash, although Maric has a history of injury so there is clearly some risk.

At the moment I'm running with a midfield of Ablett, Pendles, Fyfe, Selwood & Wells. The extra 250k has allowed me to beef up my defence and start the season with Goldy at R1.

One thing is for certain, I'm not going to suffer another Rohan type fiasco by leaving D6 exposed. N.Brown may not even generate any $ by the time culling is in full swing, he's this year's fools gold.

Cheers for the input Bully, yeah if there isn't one defender sub 150k worth starting on field I will need to change this, still hoping on one and brown on the bench or out of the side.

Jacobs I'm pretty sold on, he is the only Ruck from the top 10 last year who wouldn't drop in points if his stats were the same this year as last, which I think puts even more space between him and the competition who all would lose points, I will bring in Goldy if the cash is needed though.

Your right on getting Ibbo though, if I have to I will get rid of a mid either Sloane/Ward for NVB, not a fan of starting anyone in the mids that isn't top 10, or under 220k though. That would allow enough cash to get Ibbo on field for brown and nic nat to goldy if nic nat isnt right.

HI dmac07
FIrst of all  this team looks pretty good even though I am not liking the picks of  Brown and Karnezis as karnezis has burnt people after looking good in  pre-season games I would look at replacing Brown with Whitecross if he starts in Round 1 otherwise  not a bad team  just need to watch a few, more nab challenge games. I like the strong ruck line up.  Give your teama 7.5/10
I am writing tnis from my hospital bed at  JOHN FAWKNER Private Hospital if anyone is interested in calling me the phone number in my room is 93852244 area code is 03
