JBs-Hawks

Warner
Marsh
Smith
Clarke
Bailey
Faulkner
Haddin
Maxwell
Johnson
Starc
Hazlewood

Would be my best XI, shame Marsh isnt in the WC squad.

I'd open Watto with Warner and drop Marsh. The rest though, I'm with JB.

Drop Marsh after the way he played in the Scorchers last Big Bash game and today's game? Glad you're not the selector.

hast to be now the best summer of cricket an Aussie or anyone has ever played? Im sure it is, have never seen such runs before "India excluded, with the runs" but for centuries, never seen anything like it before!

Steve Smith for PM!

Clarkey against the Indians was pretty good/

Punter one summer against the South Africans

Just off the top of my head. But brillz Smithy!
Challenge! More centuries by the wonder boy Smith than any other in history?

and yes ive seen more Australian cricket summers than you! So I get to say who has done what!

Only got Maxwell in as a spin option, dont rate him at all as a cricketer but who else do we have? At least he adds fielding and occasional batting whilst getting the same amount of turn as Doherty.

Well I wasnt trying to get into an argument on who has seen more summers of cricket. But does that make some 50 yo dude that has been watching cricket every year a better judge then lets say Ricky Ponting?

All I was actually saying is that we have been treated to some pretty special summers by some of our batsmen.

100% agree with this. The difference between Maxwell and Doherty as a bowler isn't really that much, they're both average. But Maxy once in a blue moon can bring other stuff to the table :)

flowerin Spotify really made that a lot closer than it needed to be at the end there haha

Australia didn't have Warner, Watson, Johnson, Clarke/Bailey/MMarsh. England were missing Gary Ballance through injury. Both teams were missing about the same amount of quality ;)

Edit: I manage to misspell the great man's name :o
Leader of the King Karl Amon fan club
Coach of WXV side Rio De Janeiro Jaguars
2023 SC: Rank 126

Another reason why the Straya day game should've stayed in Adelaide. Ripper day over here!
