Hahaha love it nige. Dont think hes quite ready yet though, certainly for number 3.

For me part of the issue about dropping Watson is that there is no clear replacement no. 3. I don't think any of the first class players bar perhaps Cowan could do it, but I'm not sure he would do much better than Watson, his previous long  stint netted an average in the low 30s. From the current test team, burns for me is definitely not a test no. 3 at this stage, dont think his temperament or technique particularly suit. On current form I think the highest he could bat is 5. I wouldn't want to change where smiddy has been batting, basically because why would you change what has been working so well.

There is one guy I see as a potential solution to number 3 that hasn't been raised much that I've seen - Shaun marsh. In this stint in the test team he has looked very composed and settled at this level. I believe that he has the technique to both be watchful if an early wicket falls and the ball is moving and to capitalise if the openers have a good partnership.
This would allow Mitch marsh to come back into the team for Watson when fit, giving us a top 6 of
Warner
Rogers
S. Marsh
Smith
Burns
M. Marsh

these comments get so out of control so quickly...they will start talking about someone from England scoring runs and end threatening each other with death!!! same on the cricket Aus facebook page, the Indian comments are so rude-like being derogatory about Phil Hughes!!
