If we're looking at a Watto replacement, my vote goes to Marcus Stoinis.  ;)

I know henry has my back on this one.  8)

No to Khawaja, but yes to Cowan? Pls.

Think most people are looking to the future Mailman, Cowan's not the future.

Play people who are going to score you runs now, not in 5 years. Cowan is (and was when he played) much better than Khawaja.

He's scoring centuries every 2nd First Class match for Tassie

Cowan is a great option. Moises Henriques maybe? Move Joe Burns up to 3?

Yes.

I was discussing what jobe said before about needing youth and some for the next 7-10 years, not a player to replace Watto at 3 at this very moment.

Really? Because every single page has a "drop Watson lul" comment

Henriques is an average bowler, average batsman. Already got Watto and Mmarsh who fit that category.

Henriques isn't too bad, but yeah he's much the same as Marsh and Watson, I feel they're pretty much all pretty similar

Mitch Marsh is Wattos replacement.

I bet my life that Marsh wont bat 3 when he takes over Watson! and he is a better batsmen than Watto...the only allrounder capable would be Jacques Kallis

He won't bat at 3, but he is still Watson's replacement. Which means that leaves a hole at 3, which leads to the above discussion ;)

Yeah, fairly sure JB was talking long term.

Burns should be moved up to 3 or even to opener with Warner after Rogers is gone after the Ashes.

There'll probably be a decent turnover after that series. I think it's already been confirmed that it'll be the last series for Rogers and Haddin (and I think Harris or Watson, can't remember which one... maybe even both).

Yea never said he should bat 3, Watto shouldnt be batting 3 atm.

Theres only two people who should be batting at 3 based on current skills and that is Smith or Clarke

I just don't see why the great ODI allrounder, the big Faulk doesn't get a mention, he's a real trier but has some serious ability too

Sure yes Marsh is batting #6 for now but Id like to see the Faulk get a go in the same team! As Watto's replacement of course

Smith to bat #3, Clarke #4 S Marsh/M Marsh #5, Faulkner/M Marsh #6

JBs-Hawks

Because Faulkner hasnt proven himself with the bat at first class level yet.

What is wrong with you people? Joe Burns is the future number 3. Move Burns from 6 to Watsons position at 3 and put Watto at 6.

The good Marsh comes in, the bad Marsh goes out and really it's quite simple.
