now Watson will be in the team for another 5 years...
god i hope not
he will ride off of his success in this game for as long as he can

"First time since November 2011 that Watson has taken multiple wickets in a Test innings"

And he still needs refball/umpball for one of them. First good game in 4 years.

Do not know what others think but I think Smiths captaincy today when pit under pressure was found a little wanting.

Australias fielding needs to improve a lot if we are to become number 1 again.  I rate Australias fielding this series as C-

Bill Manspeaker

our fielding today would be lucky to be graded above D-

he will learn. After Clarkey every captain looks defensive!

I have been backing Watson before this test, and he finally does something lol. Good onya mate keep going. Once again look at his stats -37 with the bat, 32 average with the ball. If Mitch marsh or Faulkner were to play for the next 10 years with those averages we would be very happy. The issue is he hasn't been bowling much with marsh in the side, and batting at 3 hes judged really as a pure bat. Im happy to have him in the side though at the moment, hes a reliable catch and can contribute with bat and ball. When m marsh or Faulkner return I'm fine for him to be dropped, so glad it wasn't for agar.

bowls <5 overs  99% of the matches he plays...thats why he is judged for his batting! and IMO to be applicable for number 3 you should have a 45+ average
