Agar confuses me. Hes not really a bowler and not really a batsmen. Boyce would make more sense to me, but hey, who knows.

you would think that, maybe they don't want to threaten Lyon's spot? doesn't make sense!

Neither of them are near the level Lyon has been playing at recently, I'm glad they stuck with him for so long and now we are reaping the rewards.

Also its been standards for our sides to roll with 3 quicks and 1 spin bowler, if this test were not a dead rubber then even with the spin friendly surface It would be a bad idea to play another spinner.

Yeah, he is.

ah right, that would explain it. Could we potentially be dropping Watson and playing a 5-man attack (Haddin to 6, Johnson to 7)? Or a 2 pace, 2 spin?

it's good that the selectors have said that his spot is not secure, needs more than just a fifty every 5 tests.

Bring in Boyce rather than Agar!

Lets just stop jumping on the bandwagon for five seconds and actually think about this.

Agar is a much much much better batsmen than Boyce. Look at who is tipped to come out. Shane Watson, our current #3. Replacing our #3 with a spin bowler who would bat at 10-11 would just be silly and it'd bump everyone up the order.

Agar is clearly being prepped for upcoming series in the West Indies and potentially for the WC too. He's improving with the ball, has solid foundations with the bat and as JBs said earlier is an excellent fielder.

True that, If Watson's going out then sure, Agar can go in as an all rounder, but I just think that in the long term Boyce is a better option as a bowler.
