This match sure is starting to smell of draw

Aussies have had a poor day and India has had a good one.

Not just yet, India are batting quickly so the game is advancing nicely. But the pitch being a belter still doesn't help the chances of something similar to Adelaide occurring.

India's highest score at the MCG is 445 (1985-86). And India's highest individual score at the MCG is 195 by Sehwag (2003-04)

Unless we can all of a sudden just turn it on and bowl them out by days end, I'd say a draw is a lock  :-\

Bill Manspeaker

a draw isn't a bad outcome for us. means we have an unassailable lead in the series

be nice to win the test though

today has just been one of those days

Chappelli sure likes to continually butcher Rahane's name

there's the first extra of the innings

I know it's easy for the commentators to make huge calls, and I'm not sure what the TV guys have been saying. But on the radio they've been saying to bring fine leg in and encourage the bats to sweep for a boundary. And bingo!

I can extend on that: (By 'I', I mean ABC's cricket magazine)
This summer 2-0 Aussies
2013: India 4-0 in India
2011-12: Australia 4-0 here
2010: India 2-0 in India
2008: India 2-0 (4 tests) in India
2007-2008: Australia 2-1 (4 tests) in Australia (India won the 3rd test in Perth of all places)

So the last 13 have been won by the home side, and it's been 18 since the away side won. Interestingly Chris Rogers made his debut in that Indian win in 2008.
