Looks like quite a lot are going to be on Docherty. :(

Like the general structure, few different picks in there. Not sold on Lumumba at Melbourne, awkwardly priced, but short of a premium but not cheap enough to make cash. Beams is an interesting one, definitely more of an upgrade target for me, could get the number 1 tag at brisbane more often?

Like the Docherty and D.Smith picks, great upside.
Cheers!

Not sold on Lumumba myself, more of a placeholder but I'll get a similar player I think to replace him.

Beams I'll back in, one of my favourites and he's just so good on his day. Not overly worried about the tag.

It's no surprise that Docherty is looking to be popular with his price, scoring ability and known positional status.

Like the team
Defence is good but I don't know about Newnes but anyways still a solid backline (like the pick of Docherty)
Great midfield cant fault it and going to be a unique one too
Witts  :o surely you would go with Kreuzer who I think is cheaper.
I was looking at Stringer too and think he could be a good pick but I couldn't will myself to pick him (good luck) I don't know who Ahern is so I would like your thoughts on him. Also Harvey is getting on but I think that shouldn't matter as he proves us wrong every year
Very good team cant really fault it but would like an explanation on both Ahern and Newnes
could you rate my team at http://forum.fanfooty.com.au/index.php/topic,99602.0.html

I think Newnes should lift his game and become a solid fantasy defender, happy to back him in.

Thanks! I'm pretty happy with it for the most part, Cotch is probably the one I'm most iffy on, but there are plenty of options to swap him with.

Witts is Collingwood's No.1 ruck and I reckon he'll be a better scorer than Grundy. He's not too bad at kick goals either which helps. Not a fan of Kreuzer at all and I'm not willing to take a punt on his body regardless of the price.

Stringer's in a similar boat to Newnes, I think he'll start coming in to his own and improve to the point of being fantasy relevant. Plus guys like Boyd and Crameri means he shouldn't get too much attention, then there is also the likely midfield stint every now and then.

Ahern went #7 to GWS this year and should be M/F. He's got the potential to be the best player of this draft class. I reckon he could potentially slot into their 22 straight away and be a solid cash cow.

Happy to return the favour and look at your team.

Mr.Witt

Fair points but I just cant see Witts being fantasy relevant but I guess that's a risk your going to take!

Like the structure and your pod's. Few mid pricers could pay off, but really don't agree on Witts. Just don't see him being relevant next year, I think he'll take a few years to mature yet. I also think Harvey is more of an upgrade target, as I think he will still cop the tag a bit and likely drop in price a fair bit. Could he also get a couple of rests this year?
Your cash reserves could come in handy when prices are out or preseason form changes your mind.

Nige

Witts probably won't keep his place in my side, but if I fork out for somebody around Goldy's price, I think it'll be Sauce Jacobs.

 :)
We both barrack for the Tiges and we have only two in our side. Dusty and Cotc //  Dusty and Lennon. The Tiges should start the season on fire, so which of our players are likely to capitalise SC points wise ??  And why aren't we backing them in. May be Lids and ? ?.   Cheers,    ;)

Very different man, I like it but I am very unsure about some choices, and If I were you I'd definitely steer clear, but that is ultimately your choice.

I think you need 1 more premium defender to balance the choice of Docherty AND Newnes as I would only be choosing one as my breakout player (Newnes for me). Also be wary about laying top $$ for Malceski, not sure he's worth it.

5 premium mids yet only two  I'd be super confident on (Ablett and Priddis) while the others all present a major risk - Beams might not care so well with such a strong midfield, Treloar may go backwards with Griffen and Cotch may still find it difficult to curb the tag.. However if I was to choose one I'd go with Cotch as he is cheap and has so much upside. Treloar and Beams to Jelwood and Fyfe would make that a ripper midfield.

As previously stated, Witts is a little fresh and may be unrelevant again this year in the team with him and Grundy (however in future years will be the number one SC ruckman) and I'd look at Kreuzer as he should be the lone ruck at Carlton - If you were to pay top dollar I'd go with Goldy over Sauce.

I actually really like your forwards and think it is very effective - however Harvey to Gray/Franklin or someone similar would be better as Harvey won't have as much scope for improvement and may become susceptible to the tag.

However great start Nige and I love your thinking outside of the square! Keep working hard ma, could really pay off.
