I like the team. Big premos in the backs. Which so many people are shying away from this year so far. Plenty of POD throughout your polished side. Im going back to look at my team now to see how many players coming back from injury i have. As a percentage of them 10-20% will reinjure themselves at some stage This season. Kreuzer on point. You have 11 players by my count ibbo whitex gaj rich nvb freeman leuy swan reid clark hogan. So many of those players are going to be guns. And some returning guns as well. I have most of them too. Hopefully the injuries stay away

Very interesting team Mr Craig. The whole midfield of premos to begin the season has its merits. A lot more than a few of the other strategies mentioned in this article..

You set your midfield for thr year and then just upgrade other positions as you go. Only problem is there probably isnt the talent/rookie options in the other field positions. So who knows if it would work long term..

That, plus you don't have the opportunity to jump on under priced mid premiums during the year.

Ricochet

I've been looking at the opposite lol. 3 premo mids and the rest rookies.
Really want to do it but it looks so weak

In a league comp, would this side win most games before the byes at least and be in a very strong position to get into finals?

You'd like to think so mate. It'd just be hard to fully upgrade for finals with less rookies being available to downgrade too

Guess that's all dependent on if the cheap picks in the backs and forwards succeed. There's so many interesting players in the forwards and I want to pick them all. Trying to spread them across my teams to make the year more fun.

Agreed. You almost want a new forward or back rookie ever 6 to 8 weeks. It would be great if they could space out their first matches for us. Or mid rookie

Looking like a concept team with the strong mid and weak back and forwards, good to have a play around at this stage of the pre-season

I'd prefer to have Selwood as an upgrade target since just about every season he's played he has averaged significantly more in the back half of the season. I like the selection of Lycett has bucket loads of potential and with the Gap left by Cox him and Naitanui should form a good partnership.

Ben Reid is shower.  :)

Quite a few people have trotted that one out but it's a myth. Take the last four years...

2011 - Had a low score in first round after getting knocked out, went on to average 120.3 in his next six (109.3 average for the year)
2012 - Averaged 109.6 in his first 7 games (103 average for the year)
2013 - Averaged 96.5 to the bye (106.4 for the year)
2014 - Averaged 103.5 to Round 9 (106.5 for the year)

So 2011/12 he smashed in the first half of the year, 2013 he was down and last year was ballpark. Can't read anything significant into that.

Do you plan on upgrading one of these premos to Rocky? If going set and forget mids, think he has to be there at some stage :P
Or maybe consider Parker to a rookie, Treloar to Rocky, and use spare cash where you wish

Mr.Craig

I've already changed my team a few times since that post. Seriously considering 5 or maybe even 6 mid premos though, that's all reliant on me finding forward/back mid pricers that could potential outscore Rich and NVB.
