Injury Effected

Profile

Dixon has seemingly had more injuries than games played. In 2014 alone he had issues with his ankle, quad, calf and groin which restricted him to 14 games for the season (which was still a career high total). 2013 was Charlie's most successful year with four scores over 90 including two 110+ but his average plummeted this season mainly due to the injury scores (if you take them out he averaged 68.9). So he is definitely under priced and is capable of adding 20 points in value but does that make him a good pick? He appears far too risky for R2, too expensive for R3 and a really speculative forward selection. He could be a great pick but chances are his body will let him, and those you pick him, down again.

Pros - Undervalued, still has improvement in him

Cons - Injuries, injuries, injuries

Prediction - 67-72

Higgins mark 2

would be a pretty good option IF (and only if) he plays the full 22
but he's also made of glass

if he's insanely cheap, then he's probably a reasonable option at F6

henry

I think he's an option if cheap enough for that last field spot. Last week he showed he had the potential to score highly. If he has a decent pre-season, will be on my shortlist. His scores will only improve as gold coast climb the ladder imo.

Pretty happy I offloaded him last WXV off-season, he's good but extremely injury-prone. You'd need something special to happen to him before round 1 to put him in.

nrich102

He won't average more than 70.

Saying that, a mate of mind went to school with him. A Cairns boy. Great player but not fantasy relevant.

not fantasy relevant.
Disagree if he spends some time in the ruck. Can't remember when it was, a couple of years ago maybe but he got off to a ripper start with a couple of tons, and showed he has the potential to score big. A lot of 'ifs' obviously, including an uninterrupted pre season, but I think he could be fantasy relevant if he can get his body right, has the talent.

nrich102

I don't think he will play too much ruck. He may be a little like Tippett. I don't see him doing too much rucking, because Smith and Nicholls are both better rucks than him, however Dixon is a powerhouse forward.

that was the start of 2013
and I jumped on
seems like a decent (unique) option for scores of around 70-odd, but SO many injuries

Sweetness

Would have to do something very very special to be considered.
