With those guys coming in I would expect Rockliff to play more forward which could hurt his scoring. He can still average over 100 but I don't know if he will go 120 plus. It is possible to have 3 guys 120+ in the mids. I am pretty sure the Pies did something close with Pendles, Swan and Beams 3 years ago.
But now we actually will have a decent midfield to get the ball forward when Rocky is resting there, so could kick a lot more goals.

they hardly have room forward with Zorko, Taylor, Green, Christensen etc it's more likely Hanley and or Rich will play more off half back
Someone like Zorko or Christensen would be the ones that go into the midfield when he rests forward.

i think Beams might be a better forward then Rocky anyway and Rocky a better clearance player then Beams i'd rather Beams play more forward then Rocky

i know Rocky is pretty good forward but i think Beams is a slightly better kick at goal

Only an idiot would play Rocky as a forward. No way he is going back there now.

He will go 120+, the reason I'm not picking him Is because he'll average in the 125 range, where he will lose to much money.

I'm not saying Rocky will spend a lot of time forward if that's what you interpreted it as. He will rest there at times though. Zorko will get very limited mid time IMO, and think those two may basically switch most of the time, with Rocky spending the majority of games in the midfield.

Rocky is better overhead which is why he is a better forward. He is like Bartel but not as good a kick at goal. I am still not a fan of mids that spend an 'extended' amount of time up forward. While he could kick more goals, how long will he spend there to kick them? That is the issue.

Also Christensen is not a forward, he is a mid, he will play predominantly in that midfield rotation as an in and under guy, that is what he did at the Cats but was injured every other month

Zorkos mid time will be close to zero with the inclusions we've made I think.

I don't think he'll spend much time forward at all, but when he does rest there, at least there's a chance the ball can actually get into our forward line without Rocky in the midfield.

i would have thought rich onto half back, christo playing fwd, with beams and rocky in the guts with zorko, redden etc as part of the rotation

lol no. Beams is by far the best mid in that team now. Both should pay midfield but you'd never play Beams more forward than any other mid

Mr.Witt

Beams will be pretty much mid only,
Rich and Hanely will play of half back pretty much.
Zorko will almost permantly play forward with Taylor (although they will have bursts on the ball)
Rocky, Christianson, Redden, Beams will be the main midfielders.

I think that will be mainly what it is like.

Thats sorta right.

Rich/Harwood/Bewick/Lester should all play off half back when they're playing.
Rocky/Hanley/Redden/Beams/Aish should all be pure midfielders
Zorko/Christensen/Green/Taylor/Robbinson should spend most the time forward, but with occasional stints through the mids.

Take a look at the Brisbane board where this stuff has been discussed.

eaglesman

This should be a year with perhaps the most unique set of midfielder variance across top teams
Players like
Ablett rocky Pendles beams Selwood Fyfe Dangerfield are not the locks they once were imo
