At this point I have them both locked. Just a quick question, when does sc open for those who had SC gold?
Pretty sure we were able to have a look around mid Dec last year.

::)
As an afterthought, I'd be more interested in how Dayne Beams is going to perform, he could end up a POD. And what a POD he'd make.    ;)
Likewise ST.

It will be interesting if Gaz misses any time with that shoulder/collarbone early

Will be interesting matt - know season is thgree and a half months away but GAJ still not doing any work  with the shoulder - even handballs etc are all caught in right hand.
Rockliff will be an upgrade target  till effect of Reddan and Rich returning and introduction of Beams will have on him.  As UI have said a number of times a lot of Rockys possies last year were across HB line and that is the role rich/Hanley will assume next season.

Ricochet

Not worried about either, have them both in my side currently.
GAJ is on track for RD1 and is running so thats the main thing. Lack of ball skills at this point of the year won't affect the best ball handler in the comp.
On Rocky, I actually think it could go the other way. Stronger Brissie midfield means more ball through those players and they will control the game for longer periods compared to last year. Rocky now becomes #2, after Beams, so doesnt get pushed out of the brissie midfield rotations. Maybe due to his ability to play fwd well, he may spend a bit more time down there. But with Christo and Robbo there, and Hanley possibly going back to a half back role I wouldnt have thought so. The ability to win the ball isn't something you lose, it drops off when you are given less time in the action. Can't see that happening to Rocky at this stage and don't see him dropping off too much, he may even improve.

Cant see myself starting with either. Too many questions over both

Im starting to rethink picking Rocky. Absolute gun and a lock for DT, but in this game with only so many points being able to be scored each game is scaring me away from Brisbane players.

Rico I can agree on Ablett but definitely not Rocky.. Redden wasn't there for the majority of the year, Rich wasn't there for the majority of the year, and now they've recruited both Beams and Christensen who can all play midfield.. I'd say Rocky would be looking at a loss of 5-10ppg bc I can see Redden averaging 100, Beams averaging 110, and Rich to average 90ish which will all be stealing points from him. Remember, it was Rocky/Hanley/Zorko that did the bulk of the damage this year, I'd be so so wary!

he went 130 in the back half of 2013 with a fit redden and rich though. Lions should also start winning more games and winning teams get more points. Im not sure he can keep up the scoring either, but he should still be elite.

Personally I don't buy into the stealing points off each other argument if the player is an established top end player in the team. Rocky is the #2 mid. I'd even go to say that Rich, Redden, Hanley, Zorko would drop off before Rocky does. People were worried about Sydney Swans players stealing points off each other and then Parker, Malceski, JPK, Buddy, McVeigh, McGlynn were all fantasy relevant and guys like KJack still ave over 100.

Mat0369

With those guys coming in I would expect Rockliff to play more forward which could hurt his scoring. He can still average over 100 but I don't know if he will go 120 plus. It is possible to have 3 guys 120+ in the mids. I am pretty sure the Pies did something close with Pendles, Swan and Beams 3 years ago.

kilbluff1985

they hardly have room forward with Zorko, Taylor, Green, Christensen etc it's more likely Hanley and or Rich will play more off half back
