Wonder what they are paying to finish top 4... Could be a good bet.. Or real good odds to finish top..
North are 3.20 for top 4

Geelong @4.15 to miss the top 8 is a decent bet

Hrmmmm.

I like both of those.

Then again betting on the roos. They are hit n miss. Effed so many of my multis this year  >:(

Who are the 2 losses you have for North?

I have them losing to Hawks (Home), Cats (away), Freo (away), Swans (Home)

With some 50/50 games Adel (Away), Port (Home), Lions (away), Freo (home)

Might do a full ladder and see what I come up with.

Hawks and Swans. They controlled freo late year in WA, so they can do it again :P

Why does everyone have Collingwood so low?

From 2014...

Out: Ball, Beams, Lumumba... Maxwell
In: Greenwood, Crisp, Varcoe... Reid, Brown, Freeman

Players who might drop off due to age: Swan (doubt it)
Players who should improve due to natural improvement: Langdon, Thomas, Adams, Frost, Witts, Grundy, Broomhead, Williams

fixed ;)

Yeh basically they've done a mini rebuild without bottoming out at the bottom of the ladder. They will be back up the top very soon

Seedsman is another. He is an ishload better then Clint Young and after having an injury interrupted season, he should be huge for them with his pace and delivery

That's exactly why people have them so low

I had the Pies winning 9 games, and Crows/Lions/GWS winning 10. So all it would take is for them to win 1 game I predicted them to lose, and they could be 10th. IMO they'll be a bit worse next year than they were this year, but should be on the up after that.

Reid is an All-Australian player. Brown is a decent full back when he has support.
Greenwood came 2nd in the B&F of a top 4 team so Beams leaving isn't going to destroy the mids.
Lumumba lost the plot and if Varcoe can get going again he'll be just as good.
Ball shouldn't have played in 2014, he was finished.
Maxwell missed the 2nd half of the season anyway and they still almost made finals when they were down to 23 fit players.

Mr.Craig

Most teams have some sort of upside they can look forward to but I don't think Collingwood have as much as others.

In 2014 they were ranked 14th for disposals, 14th for marks, 17th for hitouts, 15th for goals, 13th for contested possessions, 16th for uncontested possessions, 17th for disposal efficiency, 15th for contested marks, 16th for clearances, 17th for centre clearances, 17th for stoppages, 3rd for clangers...

The only major stats they ranked in the top 8 for were marks inside 50, rebound 50's and tackles.

I can't see all that turning around dramatically over the course of a year.

All just plugging up holes, none of the changes are improvements from what they lost.

You can't just use the, "Player X will come back from injury and players (A,B,C) will improve naturally" because that applies to every single club

Mat0369

Apart from Beams and maybe Ball to an extent (although he struggled with his body this year), the outs aren't that bad.

You're a Sydney supporter so you probably associate the name Reid with mediocrity, but to say that Collingwood bringing back their 2nd best KPP won't make any difference to anything is laughable. Injecting a player who could kick 40 goals or be an AA CHB will make all their stats look a whole lot better.

Collingwood have more younger players than most teams, therefore more potential improvement. They weren't far off finals this year and they were playing heaps of young blokes.

Wow what an original insult calling a 22 year old kid playing in a premiership level side medicore. It might suprise you but I rate Ben Reid very highly. That's assuming that he can even get back onto the field, has a ton of preseason work to get through.

If they do somehow get Reid and Brown back to play 22 good straight games then good on Collingwood, but I'll take the percentages
