Why didn't Staker play this season? I have him in my draft league & I need to decide whether or not to trade list him. If he is returning next year I might as well keep him because fantasy-wise he had a pretty good year in 2013 (starter-worthy) but if he's not returning I might just see what I can get for him.

What's his prospects of rehabilitating & breaking into the starting 22?

GoLions

He was injured for the entire year. Had a calf injury early on, and I think he either re-injured it just before he was set to return, or did an other injury. Can't remember precisely.

Ringo

Staker had two sets of foot injuries and has been going through rehab. Not sure where he is at with rehab atm but club was confident he would be right to commence pre-season this year with diagnosis of the problem.

Fully fit he commands a spot in our best 22

Didn't he have a calf injury at the start of the season?

Ringo

Thanks GL was trying to remember the injury type and knew it was lower leg related and had trouble with correct diagnosis initially.

bleeding within the calf tendon or something along those lines. Runs in behind his knee.

I'll most likely hold on to him. Due to his medical position/age I doubt I'll be able to get anything from a trade. However, I may regret delisting him if he has one more season in the tank

Cheers  :)

I still think Bewick gets a spot over Lester, whether it be a kinda run-with role which he did superbly a couple of times this season, or just playing off a HB or HF flank

Maybe, will really depend on who has the better pre season I guess

Yeah a lot can change between now and round 1. I'm just going off this season's form, and I really liked Bewick, which was good because I had just about written him off at the start of the season. Glad with how Leppa used him this year.

At the start of the season I wanted to kill Bewick more than I want to kill McGuane and Paine in the a$$ now :P

Couple of changes required,

Zac O'Brien was on the Senior List but not sure whether we reatined him on that list when he was promoted to cover injury ir reverts back to Rookie list.

Where is Jack Redden surely he is in the best 22,

The other contentious positions is Freeman would be a choice of Close, Freeman or Paparone for that position. Paine and McGuane also may come into contention with a strong preseason but would require big ones.

Also favour Bewick over Lester based on last years form.

However a lot can change between now and round 1.

GoLions

haha wow yeah Redden and Bewick come in for Lester and one of McStay/Freeman most likely I guess

nrich102

Flower, meant to put Redden in but totally forgot  :-X Idk if we can drop Freeman for Redden though, cause then we are to small up forward. Staker is injured 99% of the time though, so can easily slot in there :P
