Ablett 2015?

"Damo reporting on Trade Radio that Gary Ablett's shoulder surgery was much more complex than has previously been let on. Believes there were six "anchor points" when four is considered to be many and that he also suffered a torn bicep. Says the shoulder was very structurally unsound and he remains a long way off being able to train."

Thoughts on starting GAJ in 2015?

Don't think its a major issue tbh mate. Personally I had six anchors put in and after the proper recovery time you barely even notice it. Obviously at an AFL level GAJ would have far much more access to doctors/physios/etc and rehab would be on another level. Shoulder injuries aren't as bad compared to leg injuries when it comes to preseason as he'll be able to do a lot of running.

Definitely something to keep an eye on though man, but in my eyes not a major issue unless complications pop up

Something worth watching, but as Rico said, being a shoulder injury he will still be able to do a lot of fitness training over the off-season.

Just to clarify, I wasn't suggesting he won't be right for the start of the season. I'm just curious to know if people are going to pick him and if the injury would play any role in that decision or not.
