You guys have such short memory:

Just a couple of years ago Davie Warner was well known as always throwing away his wicket in Tests and doubted at the top level.
I said this as well, but apparently that doesn't matter.  ::)
Shouldn't make decisions based on the exception to the rule. He can refine his game, but the Australian test team is not the place to be learning how to play cricket.
But the experience on the big stage is invaluable and doesn't compete with first class cricket where Maxi has done so well.
Being thrown into the deep end has clearly not helped him, he could not have played worse yesterday.

Would hardly call a game against Pakistan 'in the deep end'. If this was the deciding test in a series with South Africa or England I could understand, but I don't think there was much to lose in a game where Pakistan came out and made 570 in their first innings.

I beg to differ, could have gone for a duck but contributed 37, only beaten by Clarke with 47 and Marsh with 87. Not to mention the three who batted before him barely combined for as much he made.

I'm as disappointed as everyone in the performance of the team, the Pakistanis have been much better than us this series. Just not happy people are choosing to pick on Maxi and make him a scapegoat.

And who made you 'experts' the judge of that?

Never say never.

Oh, and sorry for posting my opinion on a forum and trying to create a bit of discussion. Didn't realise that wasn't allowed.

Ftr, I wouldn't be surprised to see Maxwell in the test arena & succeeding soon.

Irrelevant though, he'll always been in M.Marsh's shadow #legend #weststraya

Those before him made errors in execution, Maxwell's entire innings showed he currently lacks the temperament to be an international test player.

Give him time to learn the patience required to achieve at this level, then his career will flourish I can see him being the face of Australian cricket in a few years time.

don't think he hit it

and that's stumps due to bad light. 2/61 lead by 370

I want to see a replay of the second last ball

I missed the very start of play, did they replay that ball yet?

EDIT there it was there!!! why would they stop appealing for that??
