I have said from the beginning that Delsited and retired players will not be allowed to be traded this includes the compo picks.

I get that trading of retired players is not allowed but trading the compo picks confuses me. They can do it in the AFL? Oh well, no dramas.

Football Factory

Its pretty obvious why people want to trade for compo picks, there's a larger pool of good AFL ready players in the Rookie draft mainly because of the recycle draft leftovers and the undrafted players of previous years. The Rookie draft will probably have the equivalent of 3 rounds worth of players being picked as opposed to the Nat drafts 4 rounds. imo these picks are worth more than 3rd 4th round Nat picks. These compo picks for retirements are a one off thing to keep teams even, i don't want people trading them.

If people are duly compensated for losing these picks in trades though, I don't see the issue. If course though, you're the boss!

You offered your last 2 picks in the Nat, how is that compensation.

Its easier not to allow trades of compo picks.

This was why I wanted the recycled pool in the national draft too, so the rookie draft wasn't overloaded and those picks weren't weighted against every other season. I therefore don't think those picks should be traded either.

If we had the leftovers in the National draft and they were available to everyone filtering down through 6 picks we may have considered allowing trading of compo picks. As the leftover pool was added solely to the Rookie Draft no trading of compensation picks will be allowed.

t dog confirms. El paso has no interest in late nat draft picks this year. Recycled players in Rd will do nicely.
