Roswell has been busier in this trading season so far having already moved 6 players out and gaining 6 new ones in.

Calgary Gives: Jamie Elliott + Nat Pick 30

Welcome to Jamie Elliot,he gives us a much needed boost in the forward line with losing 2 to retirement and with Nick Riewoldt nearing the end of his career.


Farewell to Matthew Suckling who spent almost the entire year on the bench for us,being a victim of having too many defenders ahead of him this season.

Roswell Gives: Shane Edwards + Hugh Goddard
El Paso Gives: Toby Greene + Nat 20

Welcome to Toby Greene,again gives us another option down forward for next season even tho we know he likely won't be a forward long term.He should however be able to hold down a utility spot for us.



Farewell to Shane Edwards,he will be sorely missed by Roswell,the fact he is likely to lose forward status has forced our hand on this otherwise this would be a different story.
And also farewell to Hugh Goddard who was a fair way down the list for getting a run for Roswell.

El Paso Gives: Jack Crisp + Kayne Turner

Welcome to Jack Crisp and Kayne Turner.
Crisp gives us a nice promising younger mid who had a pretty good season this year and he ties in nicely with our young players like Lachie Neale and Ollie Wines.
Welcome to Kayne Turner who was a nice little addition down forward,he may not get on the park for awhile but is welcome depth for us in the forwardline





Farewell to Jake Carlisle,the move to a new club may help his scoring to improve but again he was down the list for us in terms of getting a gig for Roswell.

Roswell Gives: Gary Ablett Jr+ Nat 34
Calgary Gives: Nat 5 + Nat 6

This was one of the hardest decisions we had to make,to keep Ablett or to move him on.We got through a fair chunk of last season and almost all of this season without him and still did fine with Steven taking over and Neale and some others really standing up.So in the end we decided we could continue on without him.
So we now farewell Gary Ablett Jr,inaugural joint winner of the Koop Medal in the comps first year,highest fantasy scorer this year despite only playing 3 games for Roswell this year and captain of the team for the first 2yrs.Unfortunately cannot add in premiership captain as he was injured for Roswell's premiership win last season.

Welcome Cyril Rioli,he gives us a real boost down forward for a few years and hope he can lift his average back up next season.

Welcome Adam Oxley,we had a hole to fill down in defence after our other trades this season,so when we saw Oxley was on the trade table we thought why not,he had a pretty good year this year and should be able to build on it.



Farewell to Richard Douglas,he is a solid player without being a big scorer and was going to be pushed out of Roswell's starting lineup next season so decided to move him on.
