Essendon would snap him up if he got anywhere near that low.

Long time coming. Good to see the Champion being a one club man. And hopefully he can crack well over 200 Captain games.

3AW apparently reporting we're choosing McCartin with pk 1.  :o

Not creditable news until given evidence. Stupid decision by St Kilda if we do. Could of had a chance to get him or Wright at 4 plus another good youngster at 7.

Would prefer Petracca myself, but will wait to see what happens Thurs night.

Big Footy posters getting a bit fired up about it ATM.

True that,

whatever happens, whoever we pick, you know there's been countless hours put in to making the decision

next year's draft is apparently loaded with mids, so maybe the best thing to do is take the best KPF in this year's draft, (and don't forget, Paddy was touted as #1 for most the year anyway), more than likely have pick 1 again next year (and maybe even 2) and load up on quality mids (who might even be better than Petracca)

for what it's worth, I want Petracca. but I can fully understand taking Paddy

If we did get McCartin then we NEED Neal-Bullen and Garlett at 21 and 22. If Garlett isn't available Vickers-Willis. Get the hyphens going on.

its gonna be petracca. No way are we going to pick a key forward into a forward line of Riewoldt, Lee, Membrey, White, Siposs, One of the resting ruckman

Yeah, I feel this is exactly it. Sure MccCartin's a gun and St Kilda could use him, they have Lee, White and now Membrey. Although, McCartin is a closer match to Riewoldt than the other three.
