St.Kilda has invited former Adelaide forward/ruckman Shaun McKernan to train with them ahead of the drafts in the coming months.

Don't mind that actually.

Pick him up on rookie list, good insurance, if it doesn't work, so......

yeah I guess using a rookie pick on him wouldn't be too bad. he's a big old potato from what I've seen but doubt we'd get much better with a late rookie pick

Be a handy rookie list if we got, Jason Holmes, Adam Schneider, Shaun McKernan, Adam Cockie and  Kenny Ong.

whats the rule with Rookies getting games? have to be elevated first right?

I think if there's an LTI, a rookie can take his place, but once the injured player is alright to play the rookie goes back on the rookie list.

although off the top of my head I don't know who Mav was playing for this year... so there might be other ways they can get games?

Beau Maisters retiring gave us a permanent elevation for the year.

We got given a pretty nice Fixture for 2015, (Another 'joy' of finishing last I guess) with us playing Doggies, Melbourne, GWS, Essendon and WCE twice. We can beat those first 3, we've beaten Essendon before this year. So hopefully out of those 10 games we can win at least 6. Be good for us.

Apparently Jared Petrenko is joining McKernan in training with the Sainters ahead of the next DFA period.

hmm, Taylor Hunt would be decent but personally I think the Saints would be smart to stay away from Petrenko and McKernan

Yeah I hate Petrenko. But I didn't mind McKernan, got pushed out because of Pods because Sanderson were chasing the flag too much. So he could still performed, only 24 so I wouldn't mind giving him and Hunt a chance.
