Trade Confirmed for our boys

Geelong receive: Stanley + N60
Saints receive: N21

Now have 1 21 22 for our 3 early picks with 41 as well. And the other 3 for Rookie Elevations!

Looking good for the Saints
sorry, i don't get this one??   ???

at first i'm like, wtf?? it's like STK just like to bend over and get 'pineappled' for no good reason. (see McEvoy to Hawks for Savage and picks)

Saints fans, can you pls explain this trade to me?? I don't get it ...
unless your footy dept have/had 'given up' on any further development from Stanley??
how old is he??

'don't make no sense' ... to me anyway, you guys would probably know better ...   ;)

He's only played 50 games since we recruited him in 2008, only kicked 48 goals and probably only played 1-3 good games this year. Pick 21 is a steal for us. But he still can become a good player, but he will be 28+ Before we get into main contention for a flag.
and Toges ...

so the answer is they've given up on waiting for the potential and rather look for new young talent ...  ok, that makes sense, just felt they were doing 'fire-sale' trades and couldn't see the logic ... bit of a risk with the seeming list strategy ...

Bill Manspeaker

our strategy is to get as much talent as we can in the next few years. if it means we have to trade players, then so be it. we only have a select few with any currency due to poor trading for a long time, so tough decisions need to be made.

Macca - one of the few guys with currency, awesome around the ground with a very strong pair of hands, but couldn't get a hitout to advantage to save his life. love the bloke, but to get Savage, Dunstan and Acres for him was a massive win

Stanley - again one of the few guys with currency, as others have said shows glimpses and his good is very very good (see Round 18 vs Freo) but goes missing far too often. great athlete, but may never find consistent form. pick 21 is a win, hopefully we can draft a good kid there

Because Siposs, Milera, Simpkin etc wouldn't have achieved our aim of another pick inside our 2nd.

Fwd options 2015 - Roo, Membrey, Lee, White, Siposs*, Billings, Petracca*, Longer  ;) , Bruce, Templeton......

Sad to see him go, but was ok it wasn't Steven or Armo.

he will be a good pick up for STK I have little doubt ... I think most of the other Sydney peeps on here would agree with me and say that we'd prefer that Syd had kept him over Dean Towers (though different positional players) ...  :P

Seen a few videos of him playing in the 2s, looks promising for the AFL upgrade. Saints will mold him into a star  8)

Future in the 2s.... Nah He had a pretty average year in the 2s. Must be something actually wrong with him. But word is Tom Lee and Siposs are already training together, both badly wanting to break into that 22. So next year might be his year, which he will need to do something spectacular otherwise he is delisted, end of 2015 we got Markworth, Siposs, White all up for delisting, so we might end up losing 1 or 2 of them because they just haven't shown anything because of injuries and poor performances. Which is sad because I rate all 3 of them, and in my opinion they're all better than Tom Lee in what they do. So going to be a bit bummed when I see 1 or 2 of them be delisted and Tom Lee gets to sit there being shower all year again.

Chris Pelchen resigns after Department Review.... Don't know how I feel about this. From the things he was saying he was keen to rebuild the club and watch it rise in the late 2010s.

Kellogscrunchynut

I rated Pelchen for the work he did at the Hawks in the mid 2000's, read about his plan with St Kilda a few weeks ago figured that they would be keeping onto him for a while.

Mailman the 2nd

Yeah Pelchen was very good at Hawthorn. Evidently the Saints board didn't agree with where he wanted to go though

Just copying something that a few club boards have already done  :P
This list will include Tim Membrey, as he is going to be used as Pick 1 in the PSD
Let me know if i've missed anyone, or if you think someone should be placed somewhere differently in the Best 22 or Player Position! Thanks  :)
