With all the talented midfielders they picked up in 013 version, Id seriously be taking either McCartin or Big P Wright! No excuses in letting players like that go!

With pick 1 you gotta take the best available you cant draft for needs. Got later picks to factor needs into.

Totally disagree, a bunch of better than good mids last year, the star forward almost older than me. Have to be looking at the star talls in front of them! How are the Bulldogs going with all the smalls and no very good talls? Right then

tbagrocks

Everyone knows Midfielders are a dima a dozen, how many actual good forwards are produced?

Sloane, Templeton, Priddis, Dayne Beams, Mitchell, Matt Crouch. Top mids can be taken later. Top forwards are hard to find ;)

Plus they get the No1 picks wrong, WIngard, Bonti, Macrae. Top mids can be better than the first guy picked. Top forwards well ......

You brought up the bulldogs

tbagrocks

Who says that the best mid is better than the best KPP though? Who I ask? ST Kilda wont be so stupid, they will know full well how to best use their top pick to best suit their list

No use taking the best available midfielder if your four best players are midfielders. Other sports also agree with this theory

Ok we will see who they will pick then. As you said, they will know who is best to pick.

tbagrocks

Richmond take Brett Delidio and Richard Tambling

Hawthorn take the taller Jarryd Roughead and Lance Franklin

Three flags later ...............................................................................

But yeah, nobody would take Carey over Voss or Judd over Franklin

im just watching the highlights and i think Brayshaw will be a better player than Petracca. But who knows haha

meow meow

There would be no point picking a Kozi if there was a Goddard available, even if you did need a KPF. If there was an NRoo available it's a no-brainer, but the key forwards this year all have their flaws. Who knows, the Saints recruiters might already have their eye on a better key forward who'll be available next year and more likely than not they are going to get first crack at them in the 2015 draft.

So glad we've had a visit from captain hindsight :)

Why we're at it, how stupid are Hawthorn for taking a KPF in Thorp over a 'dime a dozen' midfielder in Jelwood.. ::)
