Lever would be a good get no argument, tall skilled hard at it defender and adding another defender to our list is needed but Durdin tbh suits us a little better i feel at the minute, he is very versatile as you all would know. Can be a switch hitter up fwd and down back aswell as having the ability to help out in the ruck. Think we will be very lucky if either are still there at #10. :(

any chance of Crows moving for Gorringe? Port have now got Ryder and given up their first two picks, so Crows probably have a better offer for Gold Coast than Port do, and more opportunities for the player

nas

Power to chase Gorringe maybe by using Newton to Geelong?

can't see why they'd want both Gorringe and Ryder. They've got Jarrad Redden developing as a 3rd-choice too, they're well stocked IMO

ROK joins Walsh as his assistant, happy with that.  :)

Some coaching news. Sydney Swans champ Ryan O'Keefe will start his coaching career with Adelaide and will be joined there by journeyman assistant coach David Teague. O'Keefe will be a development coach, Teague will be in charge of the forwards. Mark Bickley has stapped doen from the coaching group but wil remain involved with the club in a marketing capacity.

Crows in a last minute deal they take Cheney and Lowden. Im happy with Cheney not so fussed about Lowden but atleast we have some kind of backup for Sauce should the worse happen.

Ricochet

Adelaide also involved in the final deal of the day

Trade paperwork lodged:
Adel Crows exchange Rd1 pick (curr. 10) and Rd3 pick (curr 47) to Geel for Rd1 pick (curr. 14)& Rd2 pick (curr. 35).

Sweetness

We get
L Lowden
K Cheney
43
47
59

We lose:
31
50
68

No chance of Durdin now.
But still a good call I reckon.

Not real happy with giving up pick 10 dropping back four spots, does give us second round pick again but its a little mystifying. :-\

Assume the player they thought they would get at 10 will be there at 14.

Club must know who the other clubs are taking around you and confident you can still get your boy at 14. Solid move imo mate :)

Disregarding the later picks our trade period is effectively:

IN:
Cheney
Lowden
14
35

OUT:
10
31

So effectively got our back-up ruck and another def for downgrading our 2 picks by 4 places.
Pretty tidy.
