-Sando sacked
-Danger uncommitted
-Graham and McKernen delisted
-Truck retired
-Talia named B & F

What next? We need a coach firstly and anyone's guess at this stage

Then, what to do with Dangerpants, try and re-sign him next season or trade him now? Jarred Lyons seeking better opportunities back home?

Targets: Toumpas? Ben Kennedy? James Aish? Dan Gorringe? Ty Vickery? Jon Giles?

Draft targets: Caleb Daniel? The Jarman Nephew? Sam Durdin? Huge Goddard? If we get that pick 2/3/4 Peter Wright?

Jay

1. Give Nathan Basset the reigns. Most be backed 100% by the board, give him full support because with time, Bassett could lead this group places. Just look at what he did with Norwood. Obviously has a connection to the club and would help our "culture" issues - he seems like a guy who would make the hard calls if necessary.

2. Danger we have to do everything to keep, losing him would set our premiership aspirations back years. The guy just finished top 5 in the brownlow despite being plagued by injury all year. If he's uncertain about his future then trading him now makes sense while his value is high but all I've heard is that he wants to stay - so make it happen.

3. Offer Jarrod Lyons to Melbourne clubs, would be happy with a good pick for him, as I back our recruiters to find talent. Would try and get Dan Gorringe back home. We need a backup to Sauce and also some help down forward as Jenkins sucks and Pods will be goneski soon. Toumpas and Bennedy would be handy but we do not have an obvious need for that type of player.

I don't think Dangerfield is uncommitted, he said his signing was all in the hands of the Noble and the team.

If anything, I'd say the Crows are trying to see what he's worth to other clubs and might try boot him out if they get a good deal

Yeah sure, why not. Not sure he ever said the signing was in Nobles hands  ect though?

But sheesh either commit or don't, no doubt Dangerfield was a liability at times this season, probably not even fit, Sando's fault?

He gets fit over summer, plays much better right? Till hiss body gets banged up again  early on in the season

Yes Dangerpants is impressive on and off the field, yes we don't have a coach atm, yes he will want a huge, possibly $1m contract

Is he staying? Well .....

Rory Sloane committed to the club then challenged Tex and Danger to follow suit. Tex followed, Danger .......

He said on Brownlow night that his contract wasn't in his hands, but the hands of the club. I'd speculate that Adelaide has tried to sneakily ask Melbourne to part with picks 2,3.

Sloane and Tex haven't even committed in signing a contract yet either though tbag.. Not saying they won't, as I think they will, but yeah nothing is signed off yet!

Agree with Jay that Bassett would be a good option as coach of AFC from next year.

What has gone wrong with this football club? :o Recently, players going to Port, two years ago were a bigger basket case then the Demons

Now a tall Ruck/Forward wants to go there for games and he knows that Ryder will go there two? Yet the Crows crying out for someone ???  Dan Gorringe wants to come home but lists Port? Sheesh. Shouldn't have re-signed in the first place but still

Previously, we'd already have him and would be chasing the next local to come home

What the hell happened to this great club anyway?

Well, Roo is back, a new coach soon, Triggy gonesky, a young spine. Just need the right coach now me hopes. But still, sheesh

Jay

Gorringe would clearly get more opportunity here and he still gets to go home. These front running kids just jump on whatever bandwagon is going. If he ends up at Port, hope he enjoys his time in the 2s.

It shouldn't have taken this long. I presumed we already had someone in place when we sacked Sando ::) need to find our man and fast.

While I didn't think sacking Sanderson was a bad move originally, seeing it now with potentially no head coach through the important off season decisions is extremely bad

Yeah not looking so grand now and with Paddy apparently staying but, is he re-signing next year? (Same problem)

Gorringe now wanting to come home although I still expect Jon Giles to come back to SA

Just doesn't seem logical to go into a huge off-season starting Trade week one next week with no Coach. Personally haven't heard anything yet either. Thinking now Bolton, Dew or Bassett, but just my opinion

We needed to have someone lined up, this is ridiculous.

Just give Basset the job already.

"writes Michelangelo Rucci"

While I reckon it's probably true, always take Rucci's stuff with a grain of salt.  :P

Brendan Bolton was over in Adelaide today for an initial chat about the job

This is turning in to a bit of a debacle imo (not a Crows fan btw) as what potential coach would want to be the head coach at Adelaide now?

They won't want to come because they know if they take a wrong step or upset someone they could go the same way as the last guy (Sanderson).  Now you have to be the nice guy and make everyone love you not make the hard decisions to win games.

You need to keep the players onside while trying to win a premiership, and keep the board happy.
